  1. How many bodies are stuffed in the trunk?

  5. It's about 1.5-1.75 hours to Baltimore. I could either go over to York (across the Susquehanna from me), and down 83, or I could go down and get on 95 (prolly a quicker trek). Philly is about an hour East of here on 30. When I lived in Easton, Maryland, I was in a perfect spot on the Eastern Shore... about 45 minutes from Annapolis on the Western Shore, an hour from Baltimore and 1.25 hours from DC... and about an hour from the ocean beaches... Rehoboth, Ocean City, Assateague (naked spot). So yeah, I miss it down there, actually. It now takes me 3 hours to get to the ocean beaches... but only 1.5 hours to get to the campground I like to go to.
  6. That's an early ION interior shot, and a top-of-the-line, SRT-4 Neon shot, not a fair photographic comparison. The ION interior now has a much better looking steering wheel, better color coordination, nicer graining in the plastics and a smattering of brightwork. It really is amazing how little money can be spent to make an interior look a lot better.
  7. I saw an early 80's Caprice parked along a residential street a couple of weeks ago with the whole front clip rusty and warped from burn.
  8. Where in the heck is Scotty when we need him?
  9. To all you mothas out there. Ha. Hey though, what are you guys doing for your mothers today? You'd best not forget her, or she'll "accidentally" put something red in the washer with your tighty whities so they come out pink! For the last few years, I've been taking my mom to Baltimore's Inner Harbor for lunch at Legal Seafood, then a stroll around the harbor attractions. This year it's cool and cloudy with the threat of rain, so we're sticking close to home. I just hope we can find a restaurant that's not packed.
  10. There are plenty of stories of infighting between the divisions of GM. The relatively few I've read about are fascinating.
  11. Paternal grandfather's side of the family came here in the 1840's from Germany. Maternal grandfather's side came over in the 1700's from England, I presume, last name, Adams, and we're descended directly from the presidents. Paternal grandfather's grandparents owned the largest brickyard in Lancaster, and the majority of the old rowhouses in the city are built with bricks bearing my last name. So, family fortunes rise and fall over the generations, for sure.
  12. I smoked pot a few times, but not often. Ehh. I was never a constant drinker either. When I do drink, it's too easy for me to keep going and get drunk off my ass, and that is clearly no fun. So I'm not really a fan of intoxicants.

  15. Ew. Me no likey. Really spoils the clean looks.
  16. That sounds positively cheeky, Imaj.

  19. GMTG74... I love the plastic bodyside panels. I wish GM had found an effective way to educate the public on their benefits. Is it true they were more expensive to build than plain old steel? I'm sad to see them go, they were a big part of Saturn's identity.
  20. "How Soon is Now", from my "Morrissey, Live at Earls Court" cd.
  21. He's an odd looking pup, but cute nonetheless. Do your best to make sure he's loved, Vipes.
  22. Germany, Scotland, England, Ireland.
  23. Last evening while I was wandering, I took a side cut through the local Saturn dealership. They had a new white ION sedan with the 2.4L Ecotec, and black stripes like a Mustang along the bottom of the doors that say "VVT". GM has improved the looks of the ION over the years, with nice colors, better looking wheels, and nicer interior details. Still, it's wounded. The S-series was too hard to top, I guess, even with oil burning issues. Cobalt needs a little more boldness. An SS sedan in bright white with black leather interior approaches Mazda3 coolness, but a base sedan doesn't match a base 3 on looks.
  24. Eva Cassidy's version of "Fields of Gold". Ahhhh....
  25. Yes. Thanks Sixty8. These pictures really tug at the heart for anyone who appreciates what cars can mean if they aren't soulless drones. These cars definitely have soul.
