    BLEH!

OK, I went to Blockbuster and rented 3 movies because the weather sucks bollocks. "Wedding Crashers" "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" "Slutty Summer" I'm gonna watch 'em on the pc. Has anyone seen any of these? Let us know what you thought. I'll post my impressions later on.
  3. Re: Sixty's sig... "SPOT THE CORVAIR!"
  4. OK, good to hear.
  5. Ew, who's the stringy-haired dude with her?
  6. Excellent article.
  7. I still like my truck, but agree it is time for a refresh. A new front end, interior, and the 3.7L 5 should be enough. I think Trailblazer is doing well at the expense of the Explorer. The TB has a slight exterior update this year on LT models (grille and bumpers), it's got the SS version, plus a little bit of brightwork to spark up the unfortunate interior. Even with those minor changes, it's been enough to make people choose it over the "all new" Explorer. Chevrolet needs to advertise the updated Monte Carlo, especially the SS version. Has anyone seen print ads for it? They shouldn't give up on it. Pontiac seems to be doing ok. They need a new flagship sedan, like now, and a new GTO to share in the momentum going for the Mustang, and huge response to Camaro and Challenger concepts. The G6 coupes need to be parked on the front row, they're sweet looking. There is a void at the bottom of the lineup... why not bring a "G5" out until the small RWD 4 seaters are available? They'd sell, but they need their own interior, and the 2.4L as standard.
  8. The squared-off fenders, new bumpers with sportier graphics, new taillights and new wheels are a decent refresh for the car, imo. It's an icon as is.
  9. She's gonna be the next Danicka Patrick. She's a cutie.
  10. Has anyone seen Lance Armstrong's testicles lately?
  11. Bobby, "dour" is probably close to the last word I'd choose to describe Kerouac. His stuff races through your mind at a fever pitch. His descriptions are so crystalline.
  12. The new G-class definitely reminds me of a Jeep, especially in the roofline. It is nowhere near as distinctive as the old model, and you can almost guarantee it will not be as longlived as the outgoing version.
  13. In that last picture up there, the convertible... the front end kinda reminds me of a Sunbird. If you get one Vipes, PLEASE don't put a huge, lopsided, lowhanging, tarnished fart cannon exhaust on it, k? It's one thing to have a nice, reasonably sized free-flow system on there, but some of the stuff that's out there is just stoopid.
  14. Good point, Josh, which leads us to this: now that the dealership knows the car has been modified, will they honor the warranty? Yikes!
  15. Enzora, On The Road is his best known novel, I'd recommend starting with that. It was Kerouac and his buddies that basically started the whole movement that became the 60's Social Revolution. I just read a good story by Annie Proulx.
  16. Seriously, time to get some glasses, Vipes. :AH-HA_wink:

    G5

(Sung to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star.)
  18. You can see elements of the 300 in the front end, and Imperial concept in the rear on the Chronos. Yes, it's still a nice looking car, and blows the new Imperial away, imo. Still, I'd like to see something else go into production as Chrysler's flagship.
  19. One of these days I should pick up one of my Jack Kerouac novels again. I have most of his stuff. Love him!
  20. I personally haven't really talked with Mikko or SODDOFF, but I wanted to be nice and stuff. I'm all for getting to know more members better. :AH-HA_wink:

    G5

Hmmm... maybe if it has the 2.4L standard, and a unique interior including the dashboard, it won't be so bad until the small RWD vehicle comes onboard (which will be 100x better, of course). This would be a unique vehicle in BPG showrooms, if not all of GM.
  22. No Enzora, they don't. Croc is just being... for lack of a better word... himself.
  23. You mean... like Doane?
  24. "OBD II" stands for On Board Diagnostics, v. 2. It's like an information exchange between your car and the electronic diagnostic tool, called a TECH II. The TECH II tool, hooked up to the OBD II connector (which is of a universal design) under the left side of the dash, allows the technician to do a wide range of things, from diagnosing a mechanical problem, to reprogramming any of the onboard computers.
  25. Happy Birthday, fellas.
