  1. I just got home from seeing that damned cowboy movie... again. It's playing here in town. I'm such a pussy, I cried more than the first time. Now I want to see it again. B)
  2. Stunning. A masterpiece.
  3. Why is the bowtie gold? It should be blue! Just for that, it's off my shopping list! After all this time, I cannot believe the criticism I'm hearing. I think it's a perfectly executed concept that should translate beautifully into production reality. This is the GM I love.
  4. I agree with CD/BP's above post. The ditch has some pretty crazy angles there. A lot of FWD-biased AWD systems would have been worthless in that situation, I think. Seeing these pictures makes me more interested in looking closer at a Patriot.
  5. To me, the Durango very closely resembles a pig. It's got a nose for rooting in the ground, a fat midsection, and a coiled tail(lights). Not a goodlooking design. This Chrysler shares most of those traits, but manages to be bland in the process. Very forgettable. GM kills these.
  6. Agreed. I like this interior better than Equinox, judging from the photos. Thanks for the size perspective, ehaase. When I drove an Equinox, I got the impression that it was somewhat of a lightweight, in a slightly negative sense. It must be smartly designed, however, to have such good crash test scores. Does Edge have a 3rd seat? If so, I hope it's an option, because it's gotta be for show only. Overall, a good effort by Ford. I like the fact that there's no Mercury clone so far. I just hope the Lincoln can somehow capture its own character.
  7. This should hit the target market perfectly. As long as the system is dead reliable, it should succeed. Good job, Saturn.
  8. I totally agree, Walt. What is wrong with us? The USA has more cultural influence over the world than any country, ever, yet we cannot have pride in our own products. Stupid. The Edge is a goodlooking crossover, chunkier and maybe more complete than an Equinox. Certainly more powerful. Is it a direct competitor for Equinox, or is it a step above it? Seems like a Lambda-style vehicle, has Ford beaten GM to the punch in this class? I hope it sells like crazy. The only thing I would change is the taillights... isn't that fad over yet?
  9. Yup, it's definitely '67-'68, not even the vaunted '69. So beautiful.
  10. HA! That's funny. during Senior Week down at Ocean City, MD, someone took a maxipad, put a red stripe on it, and stuck it to the Ford pickup hood of a really dorky guy I went to school with.
  11. Also, you don't have to go upstairs to get busy. Neighbors can't see what position you're in.
  12. Yeah, gettin' all big and muscley and splittin' out of his shirt... that would definitely suck.
  13. I just want to clarify that I am 41 years old, so 5 times isn't a lot. I've never bought it, it was always just passed along to me in an intimate setting. And I do not want anyone to start doing something illegal after reading my personal stance on this matter. My anti-drug is cars, and nature. And C&G, my home on the net.
  14. Cool then.
  15. I'd love to be able to afford to build a house just the way I want it. Sometime in the future, knock on wood. Looks great, lakefire. This place is coming along, slowly. I still have work to do downstairs in the family room. I had my new entry door put in on the 23rd, and today I bought new shutters for the front of the house and a new exterior light fixture for over the new door.
  16. Poor Nos, he just cannot win with you guys.
  17. I've just seen my future vehicle, and it is absolutely effing drop dead gorgeous, masculine, sexy, tough. It's all I've been hoping for. If this is an indicator of the passion Bob Lutz has brought to GM Design, we ain't got nothin' to worry about. The wait will be agonizing. Should I get a base Cobalt coupe now, so I can save big bucks for a down payment for this beauty? Cuz I'll tell you right now, I'm going to have one! (I haven't shot this far in a looong time. Bravo, Chevrolet!)
  18. "Refinement does not equal longevity." Would you rather drive a purely silent appliance, or do you enjoy the feeling of machinery under you? I love to "throw the coal" to an entertaining mechanical symphony under the hood. Some people prefer to be far away from any hint of the oily bits. Which do you prefer? Why?
  19. I would go with the Camaro. Nissan is ok with me, but the Chevrolet has advantages that are hard to ignore. It will be less expensive to repair. Parts are more readily available. It's a less complicated design. Sports cars seem to be victims of their drivers, no matter what brand they are, they all get abused, or worse, wrecked and put back together in a questionable manner. No matter which one (Camaro) you choose, have a mechanic and an experienced bodyman look it (Camaro) over. Best of luck in your decision!
  20. I've smoked the stuff, maybe on five different occasions in my life. Except for the legality of it all, I don't see a big deal. It made me quite randy, from what I remember. It also made me feel very mellow and relaxed. This is NOT a recommendation, merely my experience. I haven't done it since... whoa, last summer at a local barn jam party. I personally believe that alcohol has ruined many more lives than pot ever did. I believe marijuana should be legalised and regulated. All our current laws do is clog up the justice system. I do not believe marijuana is a "stepping stone" drug.
  21. "Sexy barfly grannies...." Does anyone else find that picture entirely too disturbing? It makes me want to run! :P
  22. Aww, Nos, you noticed. :AH-HA_wink: The poster photo does look like it was taken by someone who is down on their knees... for some reason...
  23. I definitely need to get back in shape. When cold weather comes, I cut down on my routine, and I can really tell. Maybe I should join a gym.
  24. Everything's rusty in Pennsylvania. <_< :)
  25. My truck will be 2 years old at the end of this month. Right now it has 29,800 miles. I have had a sunvisor retainer clip replaced, and an HVAC blower motor replaced under warranty. I am on my second set of tires due to my own neglect (never rotated), plus the alignment was out. I do have some shake/rattle issues at the doors. I am going to try to dress the weatherstrips to see if that reduces the noise. I drive this truck like a maniac.
