    How clever?

When I was a 17 year old punk kid, my beloved grandfather bought for me a brand new 1981 Grand Prix. The 110 horse 3.8 was a powerhouse, and the CCC (Computer Command Control, inaugural year) was very finely tuned. Wait, that last sentence was a lie. It ran like crap. It had a severe dieseling problem. The engine shut off on hard braking. I got beat in a race by my uncle in a loaner '81 (Fairmont) LTD wagon with a 200 cid inline six... blah... The point of this longwinded story is... I used to attempt to drive up on those huge piles of snow at the mall in my Grand Prix... cheesy little General whitewalls spinning their little hearts out. I was so easily entertained then. Now I want an Emerald Green G6 GTP coupe with black cloth, value package, and a 6 speed. Anyhoo... if mom has an inkling that I have a crush on Jake Gyoiotwlllenhal, she'd be correct, Alex. I cannot wait to see Heath and Jake pitch their tent. :)
  2. On a four door hardtop, the B-pillar is stubby... it serves as the hinge pillar for the rear door.
  3. I'd rather he be smooth and confident, a la '67-'72, than pissed off like '03-'06. The new Tahoe gives me hope.
  4. Hopefully, Grand Am will come back, like Sunbird came back after the J2000 debacle, and no more alphas will be attached to Pontiacs as model names. Wait, except for GTO. Sixty8, the Cadillac in your sig looks... odd. What model is that? Is it even real? I don't remember that roofline at all, or that front end with that back end.
  5. Well, it was summer. It probably would not have worked.
  6. Unfortunately, both of my arms are that big.

    How clever?

Friday we got about 6 inches of snow here. I got a message on my phone. It was my mom. "Billy! Don't be a cowboy! Don't be a cowboy going to work in your 4X4! Be careful! Don't be a cowboy!" First off... how old am I? Second... what is she trying to tell me? She's seen the previews for Brokeback Mountain? She consciously knows where I'm coming from? It's all a big mystery....

    Good Kills?

So it's only a Decade then?

    Good Kills?

:( I can't race too many people in the truck. Unless I want to lose. I need power!
  10. The only gun I've ever owned (that wasn't attached) was a Daisy BB gun, and it got taken away from me because I shot out too many windows.
  11. Isn't he feeling a bit squished, jammed against that bicycle seat like that?
  12. WAY too awesome for Ebay... sheesh.
  13. I'm hoping this new "head guy" can turn VW around to what they were when they were successful... the only affordable German brand. The Polo should be brought over here... maybe toss the "Rabbit" tag on it, I don't know... they need something that stresses economy. Their attempts at "style" have largely failed. They need to return to functional, yet likable styling. Passat should be the most expensive VW... that means kill this new "coupe" and the Toureg. My dream VW lineup, hopefully realistic: Rabbit 2 and 4 door hatch, gas and diesel, with a GTI model Beetle sedan and ragtop, return to 4 cylinder gas and diesel power, with 2.0t optional. Ragster's chopped top should be a model variant, hard and soft. Golf 2 and 4 door. Base model available. Gas and diesel 4 cylinder power. Hand crank sunroof available. Slightly upscale GLS and GTI available. Jetta sedan and wagon. Base model available (decontented from cheapest model now available.) Most expensive GLI should top out at, say, $23k. Gas and diesel. Scirocco. Golf based. 2.0t power. Should base at $18k and run up to $24k loaded. Hand crank sunroof and cloth seats standard. Driving fun and style on a budget stressed over gadgets. Passat sedan and wagon. Gas and diesel 4 cylinder. 2.0t and V6 options. Top out at $28k. Kombi. Golf-based mini-mini van, just roomier than Mazda5, but with VW's old school cool. Gas and diesel 4 cylinders, with 2.0t as top engine. Tops out at $25k. Passenger, Camper and Delivery models. Front or AWD. Any VW SUV should be based on the Golf, and have a soft top version available. It should value function over style, like the Thing. AWD available. 2.0t as top engine. Hoseable interior. There ya go.
  14. WMJ, you realize that's a lesbian car, not a gay car? Check out the gender symbols. Jeez people, if you're gonna make fun of us, at least get your genders straight! :AH-HA_wink:
  15. oooo, you're into Camaros? COOL! (((68))) That's hot... except for the traction bars. They're low hangers.
  16. The wing is a total disaster... and so's the hood, imo. The only thing I like about it is the lack of side moldings. You should be proud, mute. You've saved a lot of kittens today.
  17. I went in to work today because we got some tow-ins yesterday after a snowstorm. I wrote an estimate on an '05 Grand Prix GXP with the whole right side damaged, including the gorgeous 18 inch, polished rims. As soon as I turned the key on the awesome sounding 5.3, all bets were off... I love it, and really really want to test drive a new Monte SS now.
  18. Best of luck with the new car, A. I like it!
  19. (((Cort))) Please accept my condolences on the loss of your grandfather. You are one of our most steady, optimistic members, through it all. My hat is off to you, sir. ^_^
  20. Extra sharp cheddar is good.
  21. That actually looks pretty cool to my eyeballs. :)
  22. Thank you to all the Allied vets who saved the world from darkness and tyranny.
  23. ? Did I forget to mention... wheel hop from hell? It felt like the bed was going to shear off and land in the other lane.

    Toyota bashing

I still love that Dodge Charger tagline: "The new Dodge Charger Hybrid. Burns gas and rubber!"
  25. The Liberty is the coolest small SUV out there, imo, because it is authentic. I really like the interior, and that 6 speed sounds great. I prefer the flat-top hood of the Renegade though, over the tunneled hood of the Sport. Otherwise, great choice! Best of luck with it.
