I feel pretty good taking delivery of the very first new-design Compass from my workplace, seeing how sales for the model have sploded. Sad to see FCA starve the Chrysler brand. I adore the 300 and see no feasible replacement... unless it were a classy, RWD/AWD sedan... that's the only way to replace an icon. That new Ram truck is kicking buttocks and taking names. Sort of shocking for purists to see the Cherokee outsell the Grand Cherokee. That pullback from weirdness paid off in beaucoup Benjamins for FCA. What can be said about the Dodge Challenger? Perpetual SCHWING...

GM News: Mark Reuss Takes On Role of President of GM
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in General Motors
Exactly. Why should I help GM ruin what I like about them... by buying something from them? I feel like I've been duped, and I do not like that atall. They think they have us by the balls. Ram makes a sweet truck. Jeep makes a great CUV/SUV. Screw GM with their electric/autonomous BS.- 57 replies

Industry News: Faraday Future Reaches A Truce With Its Main Investor
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
Yeah, how slippery would THAT be? LOL always with the comedy. -
The "imaginary list of reasons" to get rid of my Jeep so soon, which has been an impelling force in the past with my rate of vehicle turnover, just has not manifested itself in any sort of clear and focused way. Still rather content with it. 34k miles and counting on my FIAT-Chrysler product, and no problems to report.

Well, someone's triggered. Too bad. LOL. I disagree with the statement that it was "impossible" NOT to break the longstanding politics rule. But then, we're not in Kansas anymore. Is this you on your bike?

A rarity, and pretty cool, imo

Here's a lower trim model in Oakwood Metallic.

Seems canted a bit more than it should. Maybe pull Forward and Look a bit closer?

Well, the white one in the video is the Premiere, featuring body-color lower cladding. The RS, IIRC one level down from the Premiere, features gloss black painted lower cladding. The lower trims get black textured lower cladding, as seen on the black one in the video.

Jeep News: Jeep Finds Itself With A Lot of Wranglers
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
New Ram midsize, wasn't it? Anecdote: local dealer moved their Wranglers out front... yuge line of every color in the book... all expensive as heck... a 2-door, stick Wrangler for $35k? Silly talk.- 10 replies

Problem: even the G90 looks like a Sonata, except with RWD proportions.

No idea... $90k?

Beat-up, white 3/4 ton Yukon XL with 4WS, turning off into the Burger King parking lot.

Still would make up a minuscule portion of sales and therefore lose money, but at least the red ink would not be so deep for bespoke design development.

So his Olds is a couple years old and he can't get the boys to dry it off? He has to leave the car warsh with a wet car? Dang those show-off Cadillac drivers!

Yes of course, a 1960 Bonneville. Just an absolutely smashing automobile. Makes one wonder just when the true zenith of automotive manufacturing occurred... are we past it by, say, 58 years?

I agree with all but this, it would stymie the car to re-brand it.- 63 replies
