Too many compromises resulting in a diluted end product. Just like the BRZ/86 project. They did not learn that these type of joint ventures end up as non-starters.

Since yet another thread about fantastic, authentic American product has been muddied with mention of the "E" word, I will circle back to the original subject. If I may, sirs. This truck is totally bad-ass! I would totally take a Tradesman regular cab 4X4 with chrome package and the Cummins (no "G" in Cummins) lower tune version. The Hemi is fine in this as well, imo. It is built for longevity and ease of service, not drag strip performance. GM and Ford's venerable, big cube HD truck V8's are the same. All of them do an admirable job.

Even with this reality, losing the cellar is not a good move. GM fullsize truck prices are exorbitant in nature, for example. They are trying to extort their loyal customers into paying for an iffy "future". Homie don't play dat.

Cadillac News: Cadillac CT6: I'm Not Dead Yet (For U.S.)

Did Mark Reuss just say that going EV is Cadillac's "LAST CHANCE"? Wow. What a complete jackass. I do not care who his daddy was.- 95 replies

LOL... the V8 is named Blackwing, there won't be a "Blackwing EV". Maybe they'll have one called a "Paper Airplane EV", or some such.- 95 replies

Not exactly aspirational, is it? At least in photos, it just does not have luxury cache.

Cadillac News: Cadillac to be Center of GM's EV Push

I would go with the Aviator if I had the money for either. But I don't. The Cadillac elicits no emotion, it is cold, like an electric future.
-
Nah I was just saying it is not good enough to be what a Cadillac SHOULD be. And I think the Lincoln Aviator is a much nicer vehicle, spec wise and looks wise, because I have nothing else to go on.

YOU'RE WELCOME!

XT6 is nowhere near special enough to wear the crest. I was going to say wreath and crest there for a second.

Cadillac News: Cadillac to be Center of GM's EV Push
ocnblu replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
Actually although I made fun of GM up above for this do-all electric platform, it is kind of brilliant. But ONLY if individuality can be incorporated into the various silhouettes, as in steering, ride, road feel, power level, AFFORDABILITY and CONSISTENT, RELIABLE RANGE that can be replenished in the same time as an ICE vehicle. -
We got about 3 inches of snow. I went riding and stopped at the local Chevy and Ford dealers. Ford place has moved to their spanking new building (on the site of their old, old building, which is closer to town on the same road as their old building). Chevy dealer has a white Blazer AWD RS, MSRP $50.7k. It is pretty, wouldn't want to replace 21" tires as optioned, wouldn't spend $50.7k on it even if I had the money. First Blazer I've seen in person. Ford dealer has THREE Ranger Supercrews, all Lariats, all black in various states of spec, MSRP $44-$45k. First Rangers I've seen! While the Blazer left me neutral due to its price tag, I actually got tickled looking at the Rangers, like I used to when viewing a new vehicle for the first time. They look great, TALL but great! Now I want one, spec'd more conservatively of course.
