We need a new cars and photography thread.

Yup, different front bumper and grille, Trans Am-style fender scoops, polished exhausts, special wheels with wider tires on the front, etc. - The Impala SS, Monte Carlo SS, Grand Prix GXP and Buick LaCrosse Super all had the 5.3L V8 driving the front whills. They were the height of W-body performance. -
I was behind a '67-'72 F250 Camper Special last night, with a form-fitting, painted diamond plate bumper. White top, brown down the sides, and white on the bottom. It was clean as a whistle. Speaking of whistles, I kept hearing a distinct whistle from the old hauler as he went up hills... I wonder what he had in that thing?

Thanks for the bus photo, Horse! You know that Grand Prix is a GXP V8, right? -

Aren't the competing European coupes all more expensive than their sedan counterparts? This car is such a beauty. If I won the lottery.... -

I think I could easily substitute "2013 VW Beetle TDi" for "1982 Jeep Scrambler" and just copy and paste the rest when I am ready to sell my car and replace it with a Chevy truck.

Sweet as heck! I told you I'd bring you the real deal! Notice also... for 70 mph tests, it was necessary to bring in a Power Joke, as the Soft Taco is tapped out at 45 mph! -
What a bunch of yahoos over there. Somebody was bored.

Black '66 Malibu SS convertible, rumbling, looking hot. Early-mid-'30s Chevy coupe with occupied rumble seat. Silver XLR, haven't seen one in a while.

Cool man, want to see those pictures. I am not clear on the battery location, but sometimes the reason is just for weight distribution, to have it behind the axle line. Sooo... when are you taking it home?

Chrysler News: Chrysler CEO Comfirms New Dakota, More Diesels
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Chrysler
Well, if I were back on the farm working, perhaps I wouldn't have gotten rid of my 2010 Colorado so soon, just use the big Fords for work, and the Chevy for running around. The Frontier is a good truck, no doubt, but it is hard not to be very anticipatory of these new GM midsizers. Fuel efficiency in a large pickup is one thing, as long as it doesn't compromise capability, but there are plenty of folks who just prefer something more maneuverable, for real, for a list of reasons. The U.S. Ranger was too old to bolster for safety rules, and the Dakota was too big and thirsty. Those customers were just as diehard loyal as their fullsize brothers, hence a reason why Nissan saw more of a gain in sales than Toyota with the loss of American compact trucks... a lot of Americans are anti-Toyota, proudly, and see Nissan as a less arrogant company. I hope the new GM trucks sell like hotcakes, forcing action from the other two U.S. makers. -

If it were only Datsun and Toyopet, I would buy another Datsun way sooner. I just wish the Frontier weren't such a gas hog. -

Yeah, FCA is denying there is a smaller pickup in their (U.S.) future. Dumb. -

2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT - Rainforest Green Metallic
ocnblu replied to GMTruckGuy74's topic in Chevrolet
I've been a'hankerin' to see this color. It is THE color for these trucks. I love it! GM knows we would. Hence their greedy-ass $495 upcharge. I've already built and priced a 1LT shortie 4X4 in this color (it is a job trying to get anything out of Chevy's chintzy build & price sites, I am not sure what the problem is. Is it me?) This color is not available on the WT trim, not even level 2. I wonder if the $495 will stick to the midsizers as well. I think it's a $395 option on the Cruze. Thanks for your eagle eye and for posting, Roger! Here's the one I built: 1LT 4X4 regular cab short bed P265/70R17 blackwall off-road tires G80 positraction rear end Rear wheelhouse liners Spray-in bedliner Rainforest green Hood protector and vent visors Black interior (the only way to get the tan is to order some cockamamie "convenience" package, what in the world for?) -
Good now. It has been modified to deal with the condensation problem that plagues a lot of turbo/intercooled engines. I am not sure why VW decided to let their customers endure such a problem when they've known about it for so long. But thanks fer askin'.
