  1. I hope everyone in the USA who reads this has a good Thanksgiving, and to everyone else, have a good Thursday!
  2. These are really good.
  3. Too much Jeep nerdspeak in that comment, what is it I don't even know. Are people really getting better fuel mileage out of the 3.7 v. the 4.0? I always thought the 3.7 was a pig, maybe not.
  4. You guys might get your wish. I understand a new ZR2/Highrider is in development. I liked my '98 ZR2, and I still see a lot of these around. They also bring good prices, ten years out of production. I think this time around a Z71 will be plenty of beef for me, especially if they're available with the BFG tire we've seen on them, unless these trucks are astoundingly inexpensive... which I doubt, as they already jacked up the price of the half tons... hopefully, that wasn't a move to "give pricing room" for the Colorado/Canyon to move up right behind them.

    I believe

I couldn't get used to the CVT, and I was looking to save money on fuel, which I have in spades with my VW diesel. The conventional automatic on the new ones remedies one of those issues... not sure if fuel economy goes up considerably with the new tranny. But I still think the Patriot is a sturdy little vehicle that deserves respect for what it is, instead of being reviled for what it is not.
  6. I hope it has a discernible decklid, something the CTS lacks.

I think the Patriot and its ugly sister, Compass, will go down in history with the 80's-90's Cherokee as The Jeep That Runs Forever. Although they are much more of a street vehicle, I see people are getting a heck of a lot of wear out of these Jeeplets.
  8. DO YOU THINK GEO METRO CONVERTIBLE OWNERS CAN FINALLY TRADE IN THEIR CARS? SORRY FOR THE CAPS.
  9. I thought this was brilliant... warning: Not Safe For Work!
  10. That kind of greed is inexcusable. Glad you guys found the truck you wanted. Good luck with it!
  11. Also, the rear bumper appears to be a replacement, and it looks like it has bumper guard mount holes in it. Are you putting bumper guards on?
  12. I was thinking the same thing, Mr. dfelt. This whole thing is funny as hell to me. Elon Musk is doing everything EXCEPT addressing the real issue. That is the very definition of hubris. He needs to get over himself and fix his junk or fade away. Preferably fade away.
  13. I would choose a regular cab 7 days a week... but if the "rear seat delete" option that has been mentioned is available on the Z71 ext cab, I would "settle" for that, since the back seats are useless anyway.
  14. WHOA! http://www.autonews.com/article/20131123/OEM03/311259951/gm-considers-all-terrain-colorado#axzz2lTUXwToJ
  15. It continually blows my mind that people with enough money to buy a car in this class would consider... for ONE SECOND, either a Hyundai, or a Kia. I would give up my membership in the country club if I were relegated to such shame as that.
  16. Next munt they'll change the press release to say that a manual transmission will be available on the diesel models, 2 and 4WD. Then in January, they'll change it again to say that a manual will be available on the 4WD 2.5, and the 2 and 4WD 3.6L models./dream
  17. Yeah, but... Roger, we don't know what type of tire will be on the production Z71... the photo galleries show various tires on it... and the red one @ L.A. has BFG All-Terrain T/As on it, as well as in some of the gallery photos.
  18. Looks like they did a real nice job on it. Sweet rig!
  19. We have three dealerships. I work at the Mazda/Hyundai building. We also have Buick/GMC at another building, and Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram at another.
  20. Very nice package. Easily the best car in the class, the Dusk just puts it a notch higher yet.
  21. The quick acting mini configurator rocks my socks! Not sure if Z71 has a higher ride height v. the LT. Both ride on 17 inch wheels. Although the ultimate would be a Rain Forest Green Z71 ext cab, an LT looks very nearly as good, except for the low-dragging air dam - the Z71 doesn't have that handicap. Even the WT (especially with the alloys/deluxe trim package) looks good. I am impressed. I really like Rain Forest Green on the Cruze, and it would be like deja vu, since my '04 Colorado Z71 was dark green, too. I hear ya, Mr. Dfelt. That decision will be made when I hear how much the price difference will be between the V6 and the diesel... not to mention the extra waiting time. Who knows, after seeing the Canyon... and since I work for a GMC dealer... I might end up with a GMC instead. Although... I've always liked Cyber Gray. Not to mention, the green is a $325 option on the Cruze. Listen to me... babbling like a schoolboy over this. Can ya tell this coming year will be a long one... waiting?
  22. Here we have more views of the extended cab in black with a chromium plated rear bumper, and a silver crewcab:
  23. Here's some grainy, silent footage of it driving in adventure country:
