  1. ...hence the dire, burning need for a truly compact, authentic pickup truck
  2. Let me get this straight... ARE YOU SUGGESTING that one tailfin from a 1959 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan has enough metal to build one entire 2013 Chevrolet Spark???
  3. black
  4. Yeah, I am very concerned about the rear end on the new CTS after seeing it. It loses the cool fins of the SRX and XTS, it's even less finny than the current car. Bland from the rear, but wicked from the front.
  5. Nice one, Jacket.
  6. Well, have they tested the 2.5L Fusion? Have they tested the 2.5L Malibu? The non-turbo, non eek-Assist Regal and Verano? The 3.6L Impala and LaCrosse? What were their results in testing the previous 3.6L Malibu?
  7. I want to make sure I'm crystal clear on this one: I am very thankful they've taken the chance, and I hope this sells like hotcakes, with a waiting list. So GM gives us more light duty diesels here in America. Because I strongly feel that diesel is a great way forward (along with engineered lightness and ever-increasingly refined gas engines) toward meeting these oppressive CAFE laws with the least amount of compromise.
  8. I am certain there will be no controversy in wishing our uncle dave a Happy Birthday today. Have a good one, enjoy yourself, sir!
  9. I see plenty of VW TDI manuals on the lots. This car's primary competition.
  10. Not bad looking, and it has the magical manual transmission...
  11. Well I am not fully on the turbo bandwagon, if anyone cares, I've done some complaining about the complexity and longterm maintenance issues in the past. This report just blows up the whole debate again.
  12. They're loading it up with stuff to justify the high price. And still I see no style freshening. No manual transmission. I'm a bit deflated. This is such a momentous opportunity for GM, and it seems they're sabotaging themselves... once again.
  13. Thanks, Lamar!
  14. I guess Lincoln uses the 3.7 in FWD cars, right?
  15. molar wut is he having trouble wif his teef Tonight on the way home I was following a plodding 2013 Fusion Hybrid when I got an idear... let's set up a drag race between the Fusion Titanium 2.0L EB and a Malibu LTZ 2.0t. And a fuel economy run after that.
  16. I see they're continuing this awful teasing by making this new version a 2-door, as was the old one.
  17. Interesting. Makes me wonder if the 1.0L Ecoboost 3 will be worth a wait in the Ford Fiesta, or if the 1.6 base motor would be a better bet. I do like the torquey feel of the 1.4t Ecotec though. I imagine the 2.5 in the Malibu to be a nice, economical choice.
  18. It was an excellent thread... the Delorean was made up of so many bastard parts.

    Making Trax

I just sawr that the CX-5 is coming with the 2.5L SkyActiv engine from the new Mazda 6, with 185 hp and the same highway EPA estimate as the 2.0L... sounds pretty good to me.

    Making Trax

Well, Chevrolet needs something in the current Equinox slot, what's that gonna be then? Maybe I should just say eff it and go look at a CR-V, CX-5 or RAV4.
  21. Look at the great big zinger on Moltie...
  22. Who was it told me that you recently signed up for AARP? I'm trying to think...
