  1. Hopefully this will mean an end to the crying jags you've been suffering from. Good news.
  2. Something broke and let the whole ass end come out from under.
  3. Cool beans, daddy-o!
  4. We got 2 2014 Mazda 6's today. The one I looked at is a pearl white Grand Touring model (I believe it is top-o-the-line) at $31k... beautiful car... huge 19" rims! The gray one, which I haven't seen up close yet, is more a base model. I'll have to check it out tomorrow if I don't freeze in place as soon as I step outside.
  5. Rear-wheel drive, 4 and six cylinder power on regular versions, Eco with diesel power, available coupe, convertible, sedan, wagon and utility coupe. Manual transmission available on base, 2.5 Sport and Eco models. No electrification in sight. And a bigger back seat, but not big enough to encroach on Impala territory, keep Malibu and Impala competitive in their classes, but not against each other.
  6. Stay warm, have a good one sir!
  7. Good Lord, they've done smacked their balls together and fell on the ground.
  8. Bad news: different mechanic really is "different". He starts stalking you on Facebook. Waaay too publicly!
  9. I thought they were actually trying to move a unit or two. Well my unit hasn't moved, most certainly it has gone all frightened turtle after reading "$70k" for this pretty little golf cart.

    Commuting

Hmm, and those are pretty darn frumpy... XV Crosstrek has some attractive traits... 23/30 MPG mileage ratings with the manual, for two. It also doesn't look girly, unless the girl wears Birkenstocks. This, v. the 20/23 mileage rating of my Patriot with CVT... I could anticipate at least a 7-MPG jump in my average, with this new commute. It is Japanese though. I haven't gone there since my '86.5 Hardbody SE-V6 reg cab 4X4 Datsun pickup. It was a very tough truck, it took everything thrown at it except for stones, which destroyed the front of the hood and parts of the lower body over the 3 years I owned it, very brittle paint on that Datsun.
  11. Dogs are ppl too.

    Commuting

The CX-5s are nice, haven't really looked into them too closely, even though they're in my face. Mr. dfelt is such a funny guy... a Terrain with a Volt powertrain? Has he read any of my posts? But anyhow... I'm thinking that to make a meaningful difference in my traveling expenses, any next vehicle would need to be significantly more fuel efficient, while retaining some semblance of utility, manliness, and fun. Wherever that may lead.
  13. Maybe the new 200 will be on a smaller RWD platform to be shared with an unnamed Dodge and the new 'Cuda. That would kick ass.
  14. I don't think you'll catch Mitt throwing his hat in the ring again.
  15. HB Snosage.

    Pictures!

    Yup!
  17. If Fisker wasn't on life support before... now they're DEAD to me. What an a-hole! Hang him high!
  18. Whoa, she looks 12 years old.
  19. It is also possible the decision was made late at Ford, too. The MKZ still has the better engine available (3.7L).
  20. Well hyper suggested somebody post a pic of the original Vega notchback, so I went lookin'. Then I got to reading all the bragging in the brochure and I had to post some more of the pages... especially about that horrible engine. Vega Panel = HHR panel But the little red notchback, with its upright greenhouse and 4 taillights, kinda proves my point... the Code 130RS is a car only Chevrolet could pull off authentically, because it is so perfectly and completely, a family member. Makes me love it all the more.
