Chrysler News: Gilles: Next 200 To Redefine Chrysler Design Language
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Chrysler
The 300 has become an icon through the last two generations. Dude HAS to know that, therefore, I choose to believe he is merely preparing the public for a vastly different styling future, not "exactly" dissing the current theme. -
You guys are a bunch of mothertruckers.

Cadillac News: Detroit Auto Show: 2014 Cadillac ELR
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
I feel like a mini Bob Lutz, putting the 2.0t in the ELR to make it bearable while he's in the next garage bay putting the LS9 in the Fisker Coma. HELLO WAKE UP!!! -
Common Drew, that little picture does not do your mug justice! Larger version. photo-51.jpg It doesn't look that large to me.

Cadillac News: Detroit Auto Show: 2014 Cadillac ELR

Aw man, seriously? No new Stingray? How about '14 Silverado? I know the new Impala will be there, as I've gotten an email from Chevrolet imploring me to buy tickets to the Philly show to see it. -
I'm only interested in Lutz projects like his Fisker with Corvette ZR-1 engine... now THAT is a project worth doing! (even though I still think the car itself is not well made, an LS9 can transform ANYTHING into hotness!)

I love the looks and the concept of the Code 130 RS. Shoeboxes rule! Just stick the 2.0t in there with a 6 speed manual and it's READY. Hyper, why would they want to change the styling for production? They've been showing it for over a year now, everyone who matters has gotten used to it. It is what they've come to expect... and it works.

Seeing the ATS though, and how the body is "stretched" over and around the wheels, makes me think an ATS coupe will be fantastic. Heck, the sedan looks great as is. -
I feel that people should not be blinded by the Show Truck Bling on the Atlas. Atlas is NOT a production truck. It will necessarily be dumbed down for production. Under that Bling is a very familiar shape, no more "revolutionary" than the new GM trucks.

Cadillac News: Detroit Auto Show: 2014 Cadillac ELR

That is a very good point. All 27 people who bought a Volt have reported very little, if any, trouble with them. Hopefully, the extra features on the ELR won't change that. -
From Wiki: Chevy Van Nomad In the late 1970s and early 1980s, the name returned again on a trim package for the full size Chevrolet Van. It featured five-passenger seating with swiveling captain seats up front, a bench in the middle, and a spacious cargo area in the rear with no quarter windows. It could be had with plaid upholstery and two-tone paint. It was offered along with SportVan, CaraVan, Commercial Van, and Cube Van. I could swear there was also an Astro van with a Nomad package. Yes, the one Moltie describes is the one GMTG posted, but jeez... I wish I could remember where I sawr an Astro Nomad.

Hmmm... I don't recall any reviews of the ATS that depict the 2.0t Ecotec as "coarse and ordinary". Link please. -
Yup, Nomad, I think.

Not a wit's improvement in powertrain over the Volt... a total buzzkill. Gorgeous, empty shell. -
That's a surprise, and really cool.

Detroit Auto Show: 2014 Nissan Versa Note: Comments
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Infiniti
Well I've grown to dislike CVTs but I want some kit in my tiny hatch. The Versa Note has a lot of clever functional features that make it attractive, but the CVT ruins it. I wonder how the base S can be optioned out. Waitaminit... the 2014 Fiesta with 1.0L EB should be available with a manual.... and it should have a much nicer interior... but at what price?- 4 replies

You're probably at Denny's, celebrating your first day of a certain type of discount, but I still wanted to post this birthday wish. Take a DEEEEEEP breath, and blow out those candles, will ya?

Toyota News: Detroit Auto Show: Toyota Corolla Furia Concept
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Toyota
I was hoping this was going to be based on the FR-S, an affordable RWD sport sedan. But it will just be dumbed down for a new production Corolla. Blah.- 7 replies

Detroit Auto Show: Honda Urban SUV Concept: Comments
ocnblu replied to William Maley's topic in Honda
I'm not ready to be old yet. It's a "younger" vehicle than the Buick Encore, and roughly the same size. And it will be sold in the USA, something that cannot be said for the Chevrolet Trax.- 5 replies

Yeah I'm disappointed that the new transmission isn't available with the Trail Rated package.
