  1. Did I really just read this... or is it a Mirage? Speaking of the newest Mirage... I don't see how it will sell well in the U.S. with its absolutely 1980's Eastern European styling. Invisible is a better name for a car that has to compete with the likes of the 500, Spark, Fit, Fiesta and Sonic. Even the Yaris looks better than the new Mirage.
  2. What an astonishing turnabout. Anyhow, I hope the interior will at least be nicer, not just different. Want to see the coupe. Haven't really cared for the last two generations of Civic coupe.
  3. I am not sure if Ford was planning on a 6-door Excursion, or if it was GM for a Suburban, I forget which now. That's a pretty cool airport limo Ram though. Be nice for hunting trips into Cabela's and the like.
  4. Yeah, they are not set up for success.
  5. Clear taillights suck. SO glad they fell out of favor.
  6. Hmmm... I agree with GMTG... a MegaCab rear door would be awesome. Didn't we hear about plans (that eventually fell through) for a six-door fullsize SUV from somebody?
  7. Beyond LOL to OMG to SAD. There are no more holes, BMW. Stop plugging holes that are not there.
  8. That's cool, reminds me of something sold south of the border, down Mehico way.
  9. But the people in it aren't boring, uncle dave. It's your home.
  10. aw hell naw, those rims gotta go, son don't look too bad from here, otherwise. Pontiac seats?
  11. Lot cruising this afternoon: Cocoa leather inside 2013 Enclave is fantastic. The updates are surgical... spot on! The Cockachino (sp?) color is also attractive. 2013 Fiesta SE hatch... EXACTLY like my dead one, Tuxedo Black with black and blue interior, 5 speed. The fold-down armrest is a welcome change. I would own another one. Now MSRP is $17,990, not sure how much of an increase that is because there was an option package discount from Ford when I bought mine. XV Crosstreks suffer from "market adjustment" price jacks of $899 at local dealer, he has like 4 pearl white ones, all autotragics. Seems like he sold all the ones in other colors, pearl white seems to have a selective appeal. Ford C-Max is just as blah as a stinkin' Prius V. Loaded Verano T with an MSRP of... omg $32,800+ doll hairs. That is exorbitant, imo.

    500 Reasons?

A very professionally-done video, apparently produced by a large dealer group in its region, Rosenthal. The Fiat 500 appears to be a lot of fun, jeez, this vid makes me want to test one out for myself!
  13. Yet another viewpoint, Chevy engineers who made the Spark suitable for America:
  14. I think somebody here at C&G could do a video review AT LEAST as good as this guy:

    Movember

There was a homosexual kid who came in with a damaged Aveo. He had the 'stache graphic sticker on his front bumper, at that point I didn't know what it represented. Because we had to repair the bumper and paint it, I told him we'd have to shave it off, but he could grow it back. He laughed. But anyway...
  16. So, what are you saying, we should let go of his ears, he knows what he's doing?
  17. Bleh, what an ugly mug. Only thing I like about that is the beltline kick-up and bulging quarter, a la 1960's/early 70's Buick/Olds A-body wagon.
  18. Some might throw up their hands, but KevinW gets in there and gets 'er done. That's awesome. I've heard people complain for years about GM carburetors from that era. Maybe it's just that people don't know what they're doing, or just don't want to take the time to figure things out. Not singling Drew out, he's certainly not alone.

    Movember

oh... what's her name? I would grow my beard out, but there's a little bit too much salt in with the pepper, if you know what I mean. I do find the concept of Movember to be admirable though. Good for you, Lamar. Anyone else?
  20. It is rather discouraging language, but I find every single GM-sponsored website to be discouraging in some way. Something is always wrong somewhere.

    I Spy

I find the MKZ front end to be weak, but I like a lot of the rest of the car. I like the fact it is not trying to be a BMW or a Benz, but an American interpretation of luxury style. Having said that, the AWD V6 Ecoboost MKZ cannot arrive fast (!) enough. I believe the 1941 Continental-style grille has not been successfully reinterpreted in a seamlessly modern way. I feel the best of this look is on the current MKX... but I also liked the first-gen MKX with its 1961 inspired grillework. Cadillac has stuck with a set of design cues since the 1930's (grillework) and the 1940's (fin taillamps), and that gives them a continuity that truly conveys luxury and permanence. Lincoln has much less of a history of design continuity, and now they are reaching for anything in their past to latch onto, design-wise, to give the appearance of a proud heritage that luxury buyers may find important. BMW and Benz, R-R and Bentley also have held onto a common theme, to their credit. Lexus and Infiniti are pretenders and always will be.
