    SYONARA SUZUKI

The task: too daunting for the little guy. They've filed for bankruptcy in the US and will stop selling cars, trucks and SUVs here. The rest of their business will stay: motorcycles, etc. "Real" Suzuki automobiles were not bad, some were even really good fun. GM's influence, with the Daewoo-sourced Verona, Forenza and Reno, pretty much destroyed their reputation in this country. Not saying it's the only reason, but it is a relevant one. So goodbye, little guy. Would've liked to have known the Swift and your new CUV you have coming... but not meant to be.

    I Spy

A small CUV under a cover in the background in this Design Center video.
  9. Makes me wonder how long it was parked before you bought it, or at least how long it's been since the tailgate was opened. And I'm also guessing the hinge was a bit bound up to leverage the aperture like that. I'm so sorry this happened.
  10. Prime reason why we should always roll down the driver's window if we have to leave a vehicle with the engine running. I learned the hard way many moons ago. It is such a helpless feeling, ugh.
  11. Sorry I've not been of help, I know you want to bounce some ideas around before deciding. You said your last two purchases have been out of need, basically, and this time you're thinking of going with something you want. If you're comfortable with the extra money, and you really want it, well... you only live once. I'm not sure how the 20" wheels affect ride quality and wet weather traction. Also, those tires will be more expensive when it comes time to replace them. But they do look great. I also like how the chrome plays against the Sonoma Jewel paint job. BUT... the monochrome look on the All-Terrain looks good too. Maybe I should shut up and hope someone else comes in to offer some real help.

  13. Oh man, that Sonoma Jewel SLE with the 18" rims, chrome package, Z71 and all-terrain tires is a beautiful truck! I'd have no reason to believe I'd be "settling" for a truck like that!
  14. New-style SRX being towed out of my mom's development on a rollback. Shame when all your neighbors see that.
  15. that's so hot. Do you have any photos of the SLE in question though? All-Terrain is a beautiful trim and Rancho shock/wheel package, if you can swing it, I'd go for it. But an SLE has all I'd need. Either way, one cannot go wrong with a GMC Sierra.
  16. Congratulations, 2Quick. Those new Chargers are sharp. Side note: go, little Patriot, GO!
  17. The barn door Tahoes and Subs had an issue with metal-to-metal freeze-up in the hinges, too. They became almost impossible to hinge, they'd freeze together. We used to fix them under warranty, had to cut the pins, drive 'em out, take the doors off, cut off the weld-on hinges and replace the hinges. Pain in the butt.
  18. I see the Jeep Patriot is on that list of reliable vehicles, too. But they just don't like it.
  19. Of course they knew they were lying. This is pretty blatant.
  20. That was the part that made me cringe the most. That is a heavy tailgate, so the aperture/sill panel has to be thick and solid for it to hinge on. If it is rusted away that badly, that is bad news. Horrible. Is the green Tahoe gone already? If not, what is the possibility of keeping it, patching the red one, then flipping red?

    Cool Vintage

Yup, I spose so. Vintage photos fascinate me, I have to admit.
