  1. 1968 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Super Sport *whew*
  2. The Cube felt much roomier, especially in the back seat. For a lady her age (67), the wide, flat seats were a comfort. The Soul has narrow, harder, more restrictive bucket seats. And the Cube seemed to have a larger cargo hold. Also the Cube had a softer ride.
  3. My mom really liked hers. In a lot of ways, it was better than her current Soul.
  4. yup i sawr that *bites nails*
  5. As for Pontiac, the taillight thing was in force in the early 70s as well, Catalina v. Grand Ville/Bonneville. These are all nice. '59 Chevy in Camino's shot evokes a cat, with ears flattened, penetrating eyes, and two little fangs.
  6. Even though I grew up around bovines, I do believe I'd be too buffalo chicken to drive around in a topless Parisienne with that big hairy fella.
  7. Uh oh... *bites nails*
  8. I believe it's in the glovebox, if it is new enough for the label...
  9. ...a match made in heaven??? Either scripts and active content are not permitted to run or Adobe Flash Player version10.0.0 or greater is not installed.
  10. I guess this is today's Roadmaster Estate wagon.
  11. 2013 GTI in dark blue, at the dealer. Very cool hyper silver 18" rims in a new snowflake pattern. I walked around it for about 10 minutes, marveling at its coolness. Then I jumped in my Patriot and left.
  12. Hello Viper, I trust you've been well.
  13. My uncle's '75 Scottsdale had no trim panel on the gate, but I remember Chevy using the narrow trim piece as well as GMC, with a gold outline and gold "CHEVROLET" script. Now I'm really interested in knowing which trim levels used the narrower strip. Thanks a lot for finding that, BP!
  14. Well, as far as finding a picture with the narrow trim piece, I give up for now, I'm heading in to work for a few hours. EDIT: ooo... where you see it? Maybe it was a Scottsdale/mid-level GMC trim piece and not top of the line... I'm going crazy until I solve this conundrum.
  15. '76 Chevy: '77 Chevy:
  16. '76 GMC: I'm trying to find a picture of the narrower stainless tailgate trim piece, been hard so far.

    redneck fun

<p><strong>This looks to me like a fun way to spend the day... no big-money ruination, just some good ol' hill-climbin'. Yahooo!</strong></p><iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9k2uyg7BG8w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    Some COE Love

Check out this movie, made before recorded cinematic sound, showing that hilarious Econoline COE pickup nose tip :
  19. I believe the narrower tailgate trim strip is a later addition to this generation of trucks... post '81 restyle? Not certain when the break was, need research. And the hood has the extra little contour at the front edge for aero enhancement, I believe that happened later than '78 as well, I believe it was '79? EDIT: after looking at brochures, I see the full tailgate applique in pictures from '79, and the hood contour is not shown on 78s, but it can be seen in the '79 catalog. All of these changes may have been made when it was re-done 15 years ago, as stated. Sounds like the dude wants that big block out, regardless.
  20. I think they want that extra post for crash standards. It will be in the way though, and less convenient for door operation if you're hauling "stuff" and not people back there. But if you're hauling people it might be easier because they have their own inside & outside handle and they can get out without opening the front door. The new Colorado extended cab still needs suicide doors, however, because honestly it will still be too small back there to haul people, but it's ideal for keeping "stuff" locked up and out of the bed.
