  1. Saw an orange LS AWD at one dealer, and two gray LT at another dealer yesterday. Had to keep moving so the buzzards didn't land on me, maybe I'll mosey out again today and spend some time studying.
  2. No need to apologize. We appreciate your continued commitment to the site. The G90 is a massive car, old school in the very best way. It's the type of car missed by Lincoln and Cadillac owners of yore.
  3. Appointment this Wednesday to have the transmission fluid changed. GM says the problem is the factory-installed fluid allows condensation to build up inside the transmission and cause all the issues. They've come up with a different fluid composition. Internet says it works... sometimes. Service writer at the local Chevy dealer says none of his customers came back with a recurrence. Fingers crossed this works. They're giving me a loaner, so I'm wondering what I'll get. I told the scheduler lady I don't care if it's a Spark, I'll be appreciative of anything, since I did not buy it there.
  4. GM's current fullsize truck color palette is sorely lacking in imagination. Ford and Dodge both have more vibrant color choices. I especially appreciate Dodge's range of choices. Chevy's "Gideon" interior color is a taupe/tan with dark brown doors and dash. I was alive when you could order blue, red, saddle, or black interiors (anyone remember GM's "Oyster" light/medium gray?) Even green some years. SHAME no one does it anymore, except luxury brands. LOVE Lincoln's color availability. For the 2021 model year, I like the Renegade in its seventh model year more than the brand new Trailblazer. The Trailblazer "Activ" is a cynical nod, where the Trailhawk is much more in tune and honest in message delivery. Change my mind! I like the previous generation RAV4 better than the new one. New one's severe countenance is a turn-off. And the Corolla Cross is a too-mild opposite to the C-HR's alien costume. Which leads us to the Yaris Cross, which forces my hand, I don't use words like "adorable" to describe things often, but this thing begs for it. I think it would sell well in the US as a replacement for the Mazda 2-based current Yaris. The Hyundai Kona is a well-done product. I like the updates for the 2022 model year. I would opt for the SEL Plus trim level to avoid the DCT and turbo engine, but I am not a fan of the million-spoke wheels or the rather drab houndstooth/black interior treatment. The Kona N seems promising. Hyundai Venue is not actually perfect. The dinky 15" wheels on the SE and standard SEL in 2020 do not do it justice. Thankful that they've installed the handsome 17" alloys as standard on the Venue SEL for 2021. They transform the car, imho. We got a white 2021 SEL in last week. /random car thoughts
  5. They've become the de facto hybrid brand. Hybrids will always be more practical than full EV, if we are to stray from the normalcy of full-on ICE. I do have to say that I am happy GM is making a point that their EV stuff is THEIRS, it does lend a hint of authenticity (but not a soul) to their EV push.
  6. Unless they're actually lucid. LOL.
  7. So they're forcing dealers, who've so far stuck with them (amazingly enough) to waste $200k? I can see Cadillac losing a crapload more dealers with GM's extortion. Ruinous!

  14. The grille is simply rectangular because the original 240Z's grille was simply rectangular, with the addition of a thin chrome bumper to distract the viewer.

  16. Actually I like the Sonata's steering wheel, it's different and "retro modern". I see the new Tucson has a similar steering wheel design. The new Tucson looks cool overall, imho.
  17. Proliferation of tiny turbo 4 cylinder engines, further mechanical homogenization of product across OEM boundaries, mechanical individuality is going away, so styling has become a bigger differentiator.
  18. Cool as heck. Only Asian vehicle I've owned so far was an '86 Hardbody, and it was a tough little hombre mechanically, too bad it bloomed with rust spread exponentially from stone chips on the hood and lower body. Any Nissan without their sorry version of a CVT is a good Nissan in my book.
