  1. Most Playboy Playmates have vulvas, jeez Chris.
  2. I've always been fascinated by the fact that, in old racing photos like this, the whole car is leaning forward. How was this effect achieved?
  3. This is the kind of thing GM was good at back in the day. Sad it's all over. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/olTdTTEx5NI?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  4. I'm loving this thing more each day. No issues to report after 1k miles. The remote start, sunroof and heated seats are really nice to have, among other things, and I've gotten several compliments on the colour.
  5. Looks a lot like a Third World project, must be a conversion done after the fact. I like the wheel and tire combo on the white example, otherwise, it's the Excalibur of the Jeep world, imo.
  6. I actually sawr a red Chevy G20 conversion van with 4X4 conversion today, must have been late 80's vintage. It was still chugging along, but was showing its age all over the place. I gave this Quigley conversion a Cheers vote before I noticed the asking price. So now I've deleted my vote. I've always liked these, but the price is stoopid.
  7. "Cadillac Ciel, a sister car to the Chevrolet Spark that lit up the minicar market in 2013, and Buick Invicta that appeared in 2015, will debut at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Vote now, pick the next portion of the photo you'd like to see revealed!"

  11. Looks like it was sold off-shore.
  12. Loon
  13. Cool. Living in the Northeast, I don't get to see as many old cars preserved by a favorable climate.
  14. Nothing "Econo" about that one. It's bad-ass.
  15. There is such a thing as "Pre-Delivery Inspection"... this is a fail all the way down the line. No way any of these cars should have gotten to the customer.
  16. I think Borger wanted a GP convertible. This is a nice one.
  17. Those people are not nice. What would happen if GM and other US automakers were to flat pull out of China tomorrow? Would they survive selling their vehicles everywhere else in the world except China?
  18. I think Chevy's version should be called Sonic Traxx. It would be the Sonic hatch with the suspension raised about 3 inches, a bolder grille texture, lower cladding, a roof rack, and tougher looking wheels with knobby tires. The interior would also be toughened up with waterproof upholstery with exclusive sew patterns and color combinations. It would have AWD and the 1.4t as the only engine.
  19. The Opel does not look remotely upscale. Buick is supposed to be an upscale brand. How much luxury can be successfully tacked onto the Mokka to turn it into a believable Buick? I changed my mind about the Verano and Regal, I like them, although I still have reservations about the side sculpting on both... it is Opel, not Buick. Opel is the top dog here, and Buick is the bitch. I don't see Astra saloons and estates with sweepspears. LaCrosse has the full compliment of Buickness, the smaller cars do not. That is my lament. A small CUV can have as much drama as the LaCrosse... or a '71 Riv... if GM believes in the brand enough to make it distinctive all the way down the lineup.
  20. Let's see the whole thing, in and out, from all angles. Let's hear the powertrain options. Let's see it in motion on video. I guess January 10th is Encore's day of reckoning, but so far, the more that's revealed, the less excited I get. Oh well.
  21. Those little L-bodies ran forever. That Tempest is a clean one.
  22. If anyone compares this to the snazzy small CUV concept Buick Envision from a while back they'll see this has none of the size, style or attitude of the concept. Looking at the Buick Facebook reveals and this Opel as donor car, I am not impressed. The Envision with slightly toned-down styling and conventional doors would have been a home run and a much more fitting younger sibling for the Enclave. It should have been based on Delta II rather than Gamma. There comes a fitting time for a concert to end. No more encores. And the audience goes home.
  23. If Navistar and Mahindra have been working together since 1963 (!), then they should build a new, modern small diesel pickup in a joint venture for the US and call it International so-and-so. It would increase its chances of success here if it had a recognizable name. Just sell it at Navistar and Case-International dealers, BOOM, prolem solved!
  24. Puts Cadillac to shame when versed against the Xtra Too Skinny. Plusher than a Lincoln My Kar Sux. Conclusion: this is the nicest American luxury sedan on the market.
  25. She missed out not going with the Sonic..... really. I don't think she even took the time to test drive one. Her first car was an early-80's Cavalier hatchback, and she was raised around Chevy products (her mom now has a CR-V and her dad drives a Tacoma, but back in the day they had Chevys), but she's a Consumer Reports adherent, I think. I tried. She factory ordered it, and in the meantime her dealer got one from another dealer exactly to her spec, so they surprised her. She wasn't happy about that because she was not prepared. She paid cash for it, no financing, but now she has to unload her Protege.
