  2. I like to google large pictures.
  3. Sierra also does not share bedside skins or taillights.
  4. Meh, $2k? You can buy (if you are a masochist) a Corolla for like $14999. A Pious is, what, $24k?
  5. I think Potluck is feeling unloved. How about a hug, buddy?
  6. They were right! That is a totally new rear end appearance! Overall, I think the current Impala has a lot of merits, but I always prefer the rear end of the first-gen FWD Impala. It could not have been cornfused for anything other than a Chevrolet. This one is generica all the way, with no tie-in to anything.
  7. A Phaeton (one of 6 sold in the USA!). Two Trailblazer Super Sports in a row, dark blue and black. Two '68 Galaxie convertibles, one a horrible orange and in need of bodywork, the other in factory white with black top. A '67 Impala convertible "For Sale" with bondo smeared over most of both rear quarters (I'd hate to see what's under there!)
  8. Sounds like loads of fun!
  9. Yeah, I know what you mean. I have a lot of leftover coconut cream myself. It's turning things blue. I've been using curry powder lately as well, since I found a spice blend for a cabbage dish that's really good in the International Foods section of my local supermarket. I just rubbed it on chicken thighs and roasted them at high heat as a main dish compliment. But I think next time I'll try marinating the thighs in a simple yogurt and curry situation to see how the yogurt affects the meat.
  10. Try a Legacy sedan if he wants something new (which you know I advocate, you're starting off with zero miles and complete control over the car's maintenance and general care. It will last longer and prevent another purchase in a couple of years). They've got heated seats and a CVT. And they're nice cars with Symmetrical AWD on every model, yessir.
  11. I don't remember the last time I had a long night of... Nope, this was me getting out the clippers, setting them on "2", and starting to trim around my ears. One thing led to another, and.
  12. Very interesting news. If they can make it more functional this time AND keep it sporty, they'll have no trouble.

I think the new Durango would look good with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/As on it, instead of the sissy tires the factory throws on. They would really bring out the man in the machine.
  14. Tiguan S 4motion is $27,495 with no options. To get heated seats, you have to step up to the SE model, which is a fair amount more moolah.
  15. To get AWD, you have to step up to the S model. A Countryman S ALL4 with nothing but Winter Package (for the heated seats and mirrors) prices out to $28,400. That is with a 6-speed manuel transmission.

I was thinkin' the Aspen/Volare were tagged as "compacts" when they came out and replaced the Dart/Valiant.
  17. I had to go to Edmunds because the Hyundai website was too stubborn to give me the info I sought. It seems the Tuscon has heated seats in GLS trim, if the info is correctamundo. Sportage doesn't list them until you go all the way to leather, and you have to get a bunch more stuff in a bundle. Tuscon has that catfish face, and Sportage is a smiling alligator, but they both come highly recommended by the press. I've softened to the looks of the Tuscon, I even like the green on it. It would be between the green, light blue, or brown if I were doing it. Rogue and Tiguan are interesting choices. I always liked the looks of the Rogue, but after driving mom's Cube, I just feel weird driving a CVT (wild revs on accel, rubber band effect), but you two do what you want. I wish the manual were available with the AWD. Tiguan might get pricy, you'll have to spec one out and see how high it goes with the equipment you desire. The 2.0t is a sweet motor, and VW has such a special driving feel, it's an instant connection between driver and machine. Don't they also offer free maintenance for the duration of the warranty? Among the small CUV class, I feel the Chryslers have the most claustrophobic interiors, with multiple blind spots due to the really thick pillars. It's especially bad looking over your shoulder.

    Huge cars

Love my Fiesta, happy with the ride and handling and quietness on the highway, relative to its size and my preconceptions. Not averse to something slightly bigger, like a 1973 Pontiac Catalina. I'm really not scared, in fact, I find it enjoyable to ride in serene comfort from time to time. My mother's 1981 Renault Le Car was one of the best-riding cars I've been in. The wheels were at the far corners, it had like NO overhang at either end. The French CAN tune a car for ride, for sure. It would simply glide over bumps, with its imperturbable independent suspension and no roll stiffness. Of course, it scraped its door handles on corners, but that was part of its charm.
  19. Hyundai Tuscon/Kia Sportage. Smaller than an Equinox. AWD with high riding position. And good economy figures. Subaru Forester. High seating. Excellent visibility. Reasonable price and economy. I do like the Patriot, if it weren't saddled with a CVT. Good size. American. Good economy figures. Just that pesky CVT holding it back. Don't care for Compass' looks. And Kizashi is nice, if you have a dealer that'll stick around, that would be a sticking point for me. IF GM had a delta-based, high-riding CUV, it would be first on the list, but alas. IF Ford had their Focus-based new Escape out now, or a Fiesta-based, high rider CUV, those would be first on the list too, but alas.
  20. Good Lord man.
  21. If I lived in Feenix, I'd be constantly trying to turn them off.
  22. haha, nobody told him he was born that way...
  23. oh my
  24. Long, low, lithe. Ready to pounce.
  25. Oh the red boxes make me LAUGH! What ever could be the reason for them in this thread?
