    SPORTY

I'm so glad I live in the USA and not Brazil, omg what an ugly C-20, circa 1987.
  2. ...if you figured out you were kidnapped as an infant and raised by your kidnapper as her own? What a mind-blowing story, pulled from real-life headlines. I know I'm my parents' kid. I'm a cross of my mother and father's quirks. You? Who are you most like?
  3. I could have sworn it said "DEEP NAVY" on my window sticker when I bought my truck. It's been more of a dull oyster shell colour the last few weeks. Sigh.
  4. Could be, I guess. There's also Camino, and Vinnie Barbarino... not really sure where I came up with that one. Hope you had a good one, sir.
  5. A real singer. Great song. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/rYEDA3JcQqw" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>
  6. Winter is spent peering out looking for buds and waiting
  7. Viper's right. Very misleading thread title.
  8. I prefer the '67-'69, '70-'73, and to a lesser extent, '82-'92 and '98-'02. I despise the mandatory rear spoiler on the '93-'02, a feature also foisted on Pontiac Firebird. '74-'81 were just too fat looking. The new one is of course a knockout, if a little big around the glutes.
  9. Spiffy, sprightly little luxury car... <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4FFhjIryO5c" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>
  10. "My" 2011 Accord EX coupe manual: $25,700 with foglamps and bodyside moldings. Blue with black interior. Snazzy!
  11. Both of which are worthy (the Datsun less so, with rather unfortunate styling). I'd love to see a new Sentra/200SX coupe with SE-R availability to reclaim the magic of the first SE-R... which itself was a credible attempt to reclaim the magic of the 60's 510.

  13. I see no problem with 4,6 and 8 availability. There are precedents... early Nova, '82 F-body.
  14. Congratulations, z. I hope this will kick off a renewed interest in these competitions here at C&G. This one was full of good entries except for Booyah's. Booyah's really blew.
  15. There is also a more macho, better-proportioned Volkswagen Beetle on the way.
  16. Well, the Eclipse is a 2+2 sports car, not in the same class. Mitsu does not have the money to give us a proper Eclipse as it was in the 90's. Don't forget the tC, the new one is tougher looking and better than the old, bland one. Also, with my comments here, I am trying to show my affinity toward the domestics. There was a very good percentage of Cobalt coupes sold. Where will those customers go? They will go somewhere. GM has nothing for them. Chevrolet should have a small, sporty coupe as a stepping stone to the Camaro. This whole idea that coupes need to be expensive halo cars does not wash with me.
  17. What a refreshingly thoughtful idea. Now if we could just get CAFE off our backs and let THE CONSUMER decide what kinds of vehicles to buy, the world would be normal again. EDIT: what are those red marks for? Pull your heads out of your asses and show yourselves!
  18. Congratulations to Walt Keegan for being Facebook's GMC Fan of the Week with his new Terrain!
  19. Exactly. They are thankfully backing away from trendiness and approaching Icon status. This is more purely Volkswagen than recent efforts. The blobby Mk V Golf/Jetta come to mind. Perhaps Volvo and Mercedes-Benz should follow VW's lead and bring back more function and conservatism in their designs. I do like the GLK for this reason.
  20. Happy Birthday, Mr. Imparino.
  21. The MKS does not project its length well. To me, the Taurus, with its more horizontal lines, looks longer. The Lincoln looks like a high bubble. I feel they should restyle it to accentuate its length more.
  22. Sinus infection here going on 2.5 weeks. I'm on my third type of antibiotic. Horrible, I hate being on drugs. And December was horrible here, just cold and miserable. January has been the same so far. Not near as much snow as last year so far, but the temps last year were more hospitable. This winter has just been bitter and long.
  23. They have not abandoned compact coupe buyers as GM and Ford did (and Dodge, a long time ago). For that, they will be rewarded.
  24. So it's a Cruze competitor, then?
