  1. Well yeah, weren't they made from like '71-'77, or thereabouts? The RWD X-body Phoenix took its place after that until the disastrous (and ominous predictor of GM's decline into FWD junk peddling) '80 Phoenix came out in the Spring of '79.
  2. Take good care, bud.
  3. Last-gen (with the sloping back window) Cutlass Ciera coupe, base model, with stock pie plate hubcaps and properly faded light blue paint, sitting at a red light, older gray-haired guy at the helm. It's been a long time since I've seen something like that. I remember a trip to Baltimore one August weekend, driving around back at all the dealerships along Ritchie Highway, trying to catch a glimpse of next year's models. That's where I saw my first Ciera coupe with the softer, sportier roofline... I believe it was black with gold-accented lace aluminum wheels, gold pinstripes and tan interior. I was smitten with those and the similar Centurys for a while. They were a relief after the severely squared-off earlier FWD A-bodies.
  4. Mr. vonVee. Sarcasm. :AH-HA_wink:
  5. Sir John Alexander MacDonald sure does have a sexy herrcut!
  6. Well howdy, kaycee.
  7. GMTG74: you can wax her new car now. The factory paint process is much more complete than any bodyshop can achieve.
  8. What an unfunny joke, Borger. "Saturn needs more dealers"??? They're not selling $h! at the dealers they have now! What a ridiculous statement. More dealers will only mean even FEWER sales per store!
  9. You guys know the picture at the top of this thread is not the 2010 HD, right? While I wasn't upset about the ungainly bumper on the '07 HD when it first came out, this one-piece bumper on the 2010 is instantly more attractive than what we have now. I wonder if the LD 900s are getting a one-piece bumper as well. Nice, effective, yet simple improvement.
  10. Cory, I am so sorry. My maternal grandparents raised me. It was quite difficult to watch my grandfather lose his battle to stomach cancer over several months, and then my dear grandmother to Parkinson's disease and congestive heart failure. I still dream about them from time to time. I will love them always. I know you'll feel the same for your lifetime about your own Grandma. Carry her inside you wherever you go, and Godspeed.
  11. Hah! :AH-HA_wink:
  12. Belvedere
  13. Speedy Gonzales
  14. The C6 is an unflappable goddess. I love her.
  15. My last post in this month's thread: first-gen Corvair convertible, light metallic blue/white top/factory wire wheel covers. Cruising nicely, top down. It looked so small in traffic. Cars today are monsters, if you think about it, with their high beltlines and bulky structures meant to save us from ourselves. If we listen to the Safety Nazis, it's a wonder the human race survived this long without 16 airbags, 5-star crash ratings, traction control, FWD, ABS... I dread the day when we sit in our cars like a monorail at Disney World, filing our nails and texting, while the car follows a route programmed into it from our PCs.
  16. I had to watch these again. They're real, and they're spectacular! When that big ol' Mercury catches mad air in the grass... WOW!
  17. Jim Beam
  18. Borger says a lot, yet he says nothing.
  19. Wow, so that's the new Pontiac G6? Makes sense, since we've seen the coupe concept of this car, and Pontiac people love their coupes.
  20. The Solstice, G6 and G8 are all cool cars, imo. G5 and Torrent don't go far enough.
  21. You can use WD-40 or rubbing alcohol to remove any adhesive gunk from the edges of the doors, unless you happen to have some purpose-made adhesive remover.
  22. KY Jelly
  23. Wait a sec, what's the marketing company called? Rectal Wall Exposure? ewwwwww....!
  24. Did you see the car after the crash? They're not all about fixing structurally compromised cars to run in such an important publicity event for the Challenger brand. They entered a different car for the One Lap, and I don't think it was white. I think the follow-up was posted at Autoblog.
  25. Man, it's past my bedtime, but I had to watch the whole '65 Riverside race vid. That's real racing! Today's NASCAR is TOTAL CRAP by comparison! And those drivers, wrestling those big ass boats around that track, they could really drive! Thanks, mustang!
