  1. I agree with Ted.
  2. Ha, balthy, the "rear!" comment was aimed at the bright red painted rear differential under one of the G8 STs, it wasn't an anatomical comment. :AH-HA_wink:

  4. Last night I had a deusey of a dream. It all came back to me in the shower this morning. I was naked and walking, when I came upon a car dealership. It was made up of 3 lots, each with a small sales office. The cars were all non-descript, of different brands and model years, but it was a new car dealership (seemingly in decline). I entered one of the buildings. No one cared or acknowledged I was naked, and I was not embarrassed at all. It was dark, with a 1970's, dark brown pleather and chrome decor. I looked at racks of brochures, and left. Groups of cars were parked in patterns randomly on the lots, I was just browsing, when I came upon something that piqued my interest intensely... it was a group of about 4 G8 Sport Trucks, under a couple of those portable car-port tent things. They were painted in the bright Aussie colors, and they were all up on blocks, with no wheels. I am not sure if they were incompletely manufactured, or if they were delivered that way to the dealer, awaiting final assembly so they could be sold. There was a salesguy with me, and I was asking him questions about them. I remember looking at the rear differential/axle assembly of one of them, which was painted bright red with traction bars, and silver smaller parts attached. I remember saying to him, pointing "Wow, look at that rear!"
  5. I locked the keys in my '81 Grand Prix about 4 times at my high school parking lot before I wised up and put a spare door key in my wallet. Then I never needed it.
  6. buyacargetacheck: you, sir, are an asscrack. Yes, that was a personal attack from me. And I'd say it again. Asscrack.
  7. Hot damn, that looks like fun. REAR WHEEL DRIVE FOR THE WIN!!!
  8. Whoa, GM1, that's fantastically phallic there, bud. Sixty8, I like that ol' Impala coupe, but it looks like it's running rich, check the black stuff on the bumper above the tailpipe, and the car was only a few years old then. Ah, the good old days with carbureted engines...
  9. Ted, cool, thanks for posting the print ads. I absolutely love the '70-'73 Firebird, and that blue one in the ad would be exactly the way I'd want one. Formula hood, sport mirrors, Rallye II rims (with or without trim rings), and no spoiler to "spoil" the low, tapered deck. I'd take one with either the 350 or 400, with a 4 speed. Awesome.
  10. Oh $h!, where's WPBHarry when we need him? :AH-HA_wink:
  11. You will regret it if you don't buy it, after all the history. Go ahead and buy that '79.
  12. Viper, I had a new '86.5 Nissan Hardbody 4X4 SE-V6 regular cab, V6/5 speed/31 inch tires, the only Asian vehicle I've ever owned. The only thing that ever went wrong with it in the 3 years I had it was the horrible paint job, and I ran the piss out of it, took it offroading, etc. The one in the extremely dark, moist photo above looks in good shape.
  13. Heartwarming Pontiac promo vid from 1971: optimism
  14. I prolly couldn't jump that high.
  15. Well, I prefer the uphill, stepped trishields to this arrangement.

    hmmm...

Yeah they have a few blue 5-doors, but I haven't seen a 3-door in that color locally yet.
  17. Whoa congrats on the Aura.
