  2. I told that stink Borger to come and bring his husband Carl-Peter so he can see some cool GM cars for a change, not the dull appliances he peddles in Europe. :AH-HA_wink:
  3. Lily Tomlin
  4. MGZ06 has one of them there new Sierras, don't he? That's a hell of a birthday present to yourself, sir. Hope you had a good one.
  5. Love it, Dodgefan.
  6. What is not to love... what is not to want with this car? It is GM at its pinnacle, something we haven't seen much of in decades. GM Design still has within it a brilliance no other company can duplicate. The CTS in all its iterations, the Malibu, the Enclave, and now this stunning vehicle prove it can be done. Vehicle design can still elicit emotion in people. An instant connection, an enticement to buy that trumps all other criteria. It is not all about fuel economy, Mr. Carl-Peter Forster, or FWD deadness. This car and others like it is the Way to Salvation, because even for people who don't buy it (and there would be plenty who will, bet on it), millions more will admire it as a GM product and be more apt to look closer at the myriad GM products. This car must be built, and it must come here as a Pontiac. Combine Saturn with Opel if you please. Sell a Daewoo here as a Chevrolet Aveo if you must, but DO NOT apply a double standard against cooperation between Pontiac and Holden for some stupid, murky, personal reasons that are counterproductive to GM's health, both here and abroad.
  7. I totally agree, cire.
  8. I'll go. It's really far away and all, but I will make the sacrifice. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. I think 5-lug wheels are still only available on Cobalt 2LT and Sports, the lesser models still have 4-lug wheels.
  10. Ew, why would anyone want a car like that? It's just too sporty! A Corsa diesel automatic is much more suitable.
  11. The Volkswagen Rabbit is a better buy. You get 170 hp/170 lbs torque, along with a long list of standard features, for $15,600. The 3-door Asstra starts at $18,495, and yes, I also noticed looking over my shoulder from the driver's seat to try to see something out the back of the car is like looking into a cave, you cannot see much.

Uh, so the Satty Train is ready for boarding? woooo woooo.... all Aboard!
  13. With so many "home bases" spread all over the country, it'd be hard to come up with a single spot to have a big meet. So far, I've been able to meet up with some of you at Hershey, Carlisle, and Camino's house. It'd be cool to meet up with more of you guys sometime.
  14. Skyhawk was a J-body. I liked some of the J-bodies, like the Sunbird Turbo, and the later Sunbird GTs with the half-hidden headlamps and the V6. The first and second-gen Z24 Cavalier was not too bad, that 60-degree V6 growl was so distinctive.

If I only had a time machine... I'd go back and totally delete my post even suggesting such a thing. :AH-HA_wink:

  21. We have a bunch of old folks trading out of their beloved Town Cars into the MKZ. The bigger car, after knocking several mirrors off and nicking up all four corners, becomes too much for some of them. Of course, they then start to moan about how much they miss their old boat. My point is, I can see some old folks liking a small Buick, if all the luxury of the bigger cars is packed into it. I think it's a good idear.
  22. Interesting, Old World styling details. Those old Skodas were pretty cool, though.
  23. xpn.org, baybees!
  24. How very odd... I never thought I'd see two vehicles from extreme opposite ends of the spectrum in my town, in one day... within 20 minutes of each other... but I saw a grayish-blue R8, AND a red Smart today. And I realized, they have something in common... swatches of silver running up their midsections.
