  1. My 5 had a singular bellow under full throttle, I got used to its unusual sound and grew to like it, but this 8, damn, it makes me wet when I stick my foot into it.
  2. March winds
  3.
  4. Well, Mr. Fly, sometimes it's just as nice admiring the strong understructure beneath the surface fabric. :AH-HA_wink:
  5. Sweet.
  6. The state of Mercedes-Benz today could be viewed as one of the saddest downfalls in autodom. There are still bright spots. But they've lost some of their vault-like Teutonic image.
  7. Monty Hall
  8. Wow... a slice of ugly never before seen. Laughably putrid.
  9. Agreed, everything felt heavy and permanent in a Benz in those days... a very sweet purchase.
  10. Cool, resembles a Cragar S/S, can't tell from here if it is though... doesn't Boyd's have a wheel similar?
  11. Is there a way to get the SPID label or build sheet for your Camino? I wonder if the build sheet is hidden somewhere in the car... that would be a cool find. I'd guess SPID labels were not in existence then, probably a stamped tag somewhere... I always liked the charcoal Torque Thrusts, or even the old standby, Cragar S/Ss on something like this.
  12. Ohhhh, it's cute!
  13. I swear, GM side moldings from this era were stuck on with two-sided tape, not riveted. So many dealerships had those aftermarket side moldings installed, but the rivets mar the sheetmetal, and encourage rust. The factory moldings merely fell off in a few years.
  14. DetroitNut, congratulations and I wish you courage. You know you're among friends here. I still remember your post about the restroom incident in Ocean City... I thought something was up but I'd never push, only in jest. Take care.
  15. um, cockatiel?
  16. Aren't there companies that make reproductions of iconic OE wheels from the 60's and 70's? I thought I saw where Chevy Rally wheels are now available in bigger sizes... not sure if you'd want to go with a larger diameter wheel with modern performance tires for the Camino. And I like your refinishing idea. Modern, clearcoat colors that aren't far off the originals... makes the firewall and all the jambs far less jarring in contrast than if you went with something totally different.
  17. Why, you big flirt. :AH-HA_wink:
  18. Hear, Hear... Ford fans, buy a Ford this year. Mopar fans, buy a Mopar this year. GM fans, you know what to do. We gotta keep these pots boiling.

    Pictures!

Aww, look at Sobe. Think I could stay on that Mustang for 8 seconds?
  20. A polite note to Toyota: shut your piehole!
  21. I voted $5.00, but even then it would be difficult.

  23. Possibility of 2" here. Spring, where'd you go?

    ATTN: Bobo

Hint: Camino, old buddy, some idears for your '77 interior, right there. :AH-HA_wink:
  25. So, no definitive answers yet. It's a cool car, Raven. Maybe if you buy those Old Car Trader, etc., magazines, or Hemming's Motor News from time to time and research what others are paying for a car like yours, that would help you come up with a good eventual asking price.
