  4. What Delta said. Get out there and knock 'em dead, Wolfman!
  5. Yeah, but everybody's porky these days. Crash tests dictate that modern vehicles have a lot of structure. If the car is a hardtop (and it better be), it will need a damn strong lock pillar for side impact tests.
  6. You know how when you go into an old person's home, and they all smell the same? And the bathroom, just after a healthy? Ah yes. Apple pie baking in the oven. Cat pee somewhere in your half-finished downstairs family room, making you regret the day you started letting your neighbor's cat in periodically because they put her out and won't let her back in their house. Sweat, running down the back of somebody cool at the gym. Newly cut alfalfa. Yes... smelly isn't it?
  7. I know what you mean, it's snowing its lily white butt tocks off as we speak. (Going for the record for using the phrase "I know what you mean" in a single thread. Check it out!) :AH-HA_wink:

    Pictures!

"And I'd like to thank the Academy..." :AH-HA_wink: Nice picture, fellas.
  9. To answer your question, it certainly isn't a GTO... Trans Am all the way. This time for less overlap, I'd like to see the next sporty, RWD coupe from Pontiac be built on the 114 inch wb Zeta chassis as a V8 GTO and a six cylinder Pontiac, not Holden, G8 coupe (hate the name but support less nameplate proliferation), let the Camaro have the shorter wheelbase.

    Pipes

Of course, the stock system is 2 1/2". It comes back from the Y to a cat with about a foot and a half pipe before it goes into the muffler. With my fuel tank taking up all the space inside the frame rail on the left side, it appears I could only do a split aft of the muffler (or maybe put two mufflers side by side after the cat) if I want the look and sound of dual exhaust. I might just do a free-flow single system, like I did with my '02, but dammit, the stainless Gibson system I put on that truck just didn't speak loud enough. All this brings to mind the first late model Camaro SSs with the big single pipe. It had plenty of flow and the shortest distance to dump gases, but people whined and cried, so they went to a dual tailpipe system. Not sure if those two pipes did anything to improve horsepower or sound, but they did look cool. Speaking of burble and pop, I consider those bad traits. I know the V8 F-bodies did it, and even my Colorado would do it. I didn't like that.

  13. KC, it's all kilts, all the time in spring and summer. Gotta air out the boys! Kidding
  14. z, I think you're right, they look very close. Camino, I guess there is no identifying mark anywhere on the back side of the wheel.
  15. The newest issue of Motor Trend also chooses the better truck, Silverado, over the Turdra in a head-to-head test.
  16. "That's hot!" Seriously though, here's my message to that nasty flu bug: John Wayne/"Get outa Dodge (fan), you nasty flu bug!"/John Wayne. Feel better soon, sir.
  17. I like the mirras and the bumper bullets, but I draw the line at the G8 hood scoops.

Just what we need, another cable TV home improvement show with a deranged Michael Jackson fan as the host... :AH-HA_wink:

  20. Well, honestly, that sounds a lot like Spring, Satty. They're calling for sunny, windy and 38 here today, then we have a Winter Storm Watch for tonight through tomorrow night, with freezing rain, sleet and snow, poss accum up to 3 inches. But March comes in this week, hopefully like a lamb (don't get excited Nos), and it can go out that way too, afaic.

    Desktops!

Whoa, what's that? I would call it the "Audi S5"! Cool... but...OMG, the upper bodyline resembles a... Hyundai Elantra??? :AH-HA_wink:
  22. plugged in?
  23. I know what you mean, I'm totally tired of wearing pants. Come on, Spring!
  24. Those wheels look so familiar... what are they off of? They look OE for something... Camaro Berlinetta? They also resemble *gasp* Chrysler minivan wheels of some vintage. I know they can't be off a minivan because of the RWD offset... hmmm...
