Being how I've read your Mr objectivity I figure its safe to point out the fact to you that cars that are not nimble or have "rolls a lot" do NOT give class standard results in transitional handling tests........nor do they set class standard or class leading track lap time results........Im sure you are aware of this........with all your driving experience and knowledge.......so please, how about showing that objectivity

Good call, Im sure you and I are not the only ones that see this relentless bashing by the gang

Was that filmed in the late 60/70 period ? Thats the look of the era. Have you noticed all the changes from period to period ? I dont think its just the hair.

BTW........so whos "Bulldozer" is the banner for ? Cat ? or was this the BULLDOZER division ?

yep, I bet thats it. My father born in 27 was in Korea after WWII but was home and out for two years or so before the Korean war started. Timing is everything, he wanted to inlist for WWII but his parents would not let him before 18. I know Marilyn meant something to those guys but Im sure most people did not know what was going on with her. It seems many many of those old "gals" no wait......... "dames" had perscription drug problems and temperment issues, still happens today I suppose but awareness is better so more people have their act together ?

Thanks Ponchoman, Im glad someone agrees with me about the L32, I mean Buick never even got it but stayed with the L67, and now nothing and the engine is in its last years. Such a shame, to me that would be the ultimate Lucerne or Lacrosse with the last run of the engines and its its best form (L32). How about a sleeper Lacrosse with everything the comp G came with ? Tap shift, best suspension, special facia, three ports, nice 18" wheel and tires.....in a two door.....geeze My 99 Anniversary was an Eighty Eight. The 50th (49-99) was a fully loaded car. around 3700lb I think ? They used NOS Regency memory seats, a different 16" wheel from the LSS. It was a sweetheart. We also have a 97 LSS.........and a 90 Regency with the LN3-C,winter car &.......a 90 Ciera Cruiser with the 3300,winter car ........and the origional..1986 LeSabre 2dr Limited with the origional FWD 90* Buick engine...the 3.0 LN-7, restored and pampered, and........I once had a 90 Regal Limited with the L27.

Im not a suv person but the Enclave looks like it should get some attention. They really put character into it. The Lucerne and Lacrosse as always are "damn!, thats one nice Buick! " Thanks for shareing, in a few more weekends we will have time enough to go test drive a few Buicks. the gang will be around in a moment or two to tell us whats wrong with them

Monroe was a talentless bimbo attention whore or a white girl on drugs.......attention whore

yep, I remember the night fever days, it had its angles, but so did ChicCorea sp? Weather report, DixieDreggs, Dimeola, Ponty, Mangone....that more progressive angle was what I listened to.

interesting mix of bands, some are prog rock and some are pop metal I just wanted to say something about Chicago. Early Chicago, like Chicago Transit Authority and Chicago II were the best. Chicago with Terry Kath?Cath ? the guitar player and vocalist was a whole nother animal than the soft girly pop rock band they became after his death. Songs like 25or6to4 are Terry Cath Chicago, more edgy and power drivin. Wailin guitar with a horn section, yea ! Earliest Rush was very noteworthy, not that later Rush was not as well. The very first Journey album did not have Steve Perry singing and had a song or two that were very progressive for of thier time. Missin anybody good ? Well I know alot of people dont agree with me but Sam Halen is the best.....5150 & OU812 were excellent in my opinion but I've been into Sammy since Montrose release in 73......long before we heard of Eddie, then when I heard Sammy was joinin Eddie I knew I would like it. Favorite - Mine all Mine from OU812 & 5150 - greatest guitar riff like ever dude, though the song may not be for the conventional ear! Very obscure - Crack the Sky Safety in Numbers or their first "Crack the Sky" Ice and Nuclear Apathy are their trademarks

anyone that cant get the 3800 to move needs a driving lesson, the '99 I had was very quick fine print It is absolutely wrong for Buick not to offer the SC L32 260/280 in its last years of production. It will smoke the 3900, the 3.6 and nearly competes with the N*. It is an advanced engine and it is a Buick "based" engine. Its also in production and is not that much more expensive in hardware anymore from the NA3800. It should be an inexpensive option on all Lacrosse and Lucerne models. How in the hell did it become a Pontiac engine only !!!!!! Damn it !!!!! Furthermore a suspension upgrade option should be available without buying the CXS. Call it what you want, it used to be F41 option. GM is blowing it with these "base" model cars and mandatory "packages" to upgrade a car.

I understand this is for the dealers, we discused the loss for dealers back when Sunbird was cut. however At $20,000 I dont understand this, why not the ecotec G6 @ $20,000 ? theres your entry level. If they do not change the sheet metal and the interior this is a bad move.

As we witnessed in a thread concerning car maintenence and repairs its a darn good thing BMW offers this. Still, somehow I dont see how a few oil changes and brake pads every year could possibly add up to 1500-2000 $. General Motors could not afford to do this because their dealership network would rob them blind. This along with better drivetrain warrenties on the Cadillac or Buick cars could be easily doable for GM if it were not for the rip off artists that dealerships are. They would surely be doing all kinds of warrenty work to get the bottom line at the end of the month. This can not be as hard to keep track of with the smaller size of the BMW network.

he was the lazy son of a carpenter, like 6t8 said he was a hippy, he rode a jackass that means in recent times when there were no more micro buses left to wear out and he compromised his principles like all good hippies have done, he would have been the first to drive a toyota then a Hyundia then a Kia however Im convinced if in todays world he was a good American boy he would drive a Buick.......if he did not, I would never believe a word he said..........

Just a little advise. First eat at home.....then if you must If you see something in a restaurant you dont like or have a problem with the food.......get up and leave.......never........never.......complain and then eat what they bring you back on your plate..........never !!!!!!!! there is some really sick idiots in this world eat at home it actually feels good and right to get up and leave, I never knew it until I did it once, I knew it got the message across and I didnt have to have a confrontation or wonder what just came back from the kitchen.

Olds did a good job between the interiors in the LSS :floor shift/console and Regency which was the same as our 50th anniversary with the column shift. It did not create any awkward dash or console or "center stack" issues. In fact the Regency interior was more comfortable and airy. 3 on a tree was a long throw but very common when I learned to drive. Our HS DE car was a Granada with three on the tree. Back then they wanted everyone to know how to drive the hardest method, which was a standard w/column shift. I also put alot of miles on a 71 hard worked HD3/4 ton Chevy w/307 limited slip and column shift. That thing would leave some pretty nice hooked "patches" yea, I was immature.......but Im over that now direct top mount standards are the best shifters, nice tight short throw. Linkage shifters are inferior. The best shifting tranny I have driven yet was in my Alpine, nice and light, very short throw, with easy but definate click click. Of course a Fuller 9 speed or 10 or 13 or 8 or 15 is something to master.......till you get tired of shifting the damn thing.......constantly floor shifter has more sex appeal column shift is more airy, less conjested lastly as I recall owners of GM's were highly favorable of the single stalk and whats he crying about now ?.................

WJWDAB but of course!
-
Oh yea, I forgot to say....just wait a moment......the gang will soon be here to tell you why NOT to buy a GM
-
The best way to learn about a car your interested in is to drive it and look at a few.
-
Its getting the 3900 not the 3.6 ? fine print it would still be much nicer with the L32 260/280 Will we soon see the 3900 forced fed ?

Probably the wrong answer to the question but Toyota gained alot of respect with the 22R as well as awsome little four wheel drive pickup trucks, thats when I remember the buzz getting louder and I was one of the bees.

GM sales chief says automaker needs all brands
razoredge replied to buyacargetacheck's topic in General Motors
Now lets see Cadillac and Chevy were the "brands" that produced some serious quality inpaired cars during the 80's & 90's..........so now they are the divisions we need to SAVE ? Yarite ! Well Caddy is doing better, it now has the sales Oldsmobile did............the year before they killed it "OH my god, hurry we need to save Cadillac and Chevy from the damage they did to themselves" Get rid of saturin and there is the money thats needed for further development of great Buicks and Pontiacs. saturin is and has been the problem on these shores, then theres the money wasted abroad but here, saturin is the problem. -
This has been going on for a few decades now. When I was renting I was lucky to have found the houses I did but no money could be saved to accumulate down payment. It all depends on where you land and other personal factors. I was stubborn and determined to do what interested and stimulated me. So that came with a price, one that has gotten even more expensive but thats another topic. Anybody can buy a house today, the real question is will you ever own it? Our parents payed off their homes and saved money, retired, did vacations, maybe had a camp. Many bought new cars...CASH. Today we have thrown this to the wind. Because global economy has capitolized for those in the position to profit from it. Driving up the price of housing, creating markets for must have items and a list to long to bother with. While this has been happening for those in right places it has been stiffeling others that are in the wrongs places. Its that simply..... complicated. I dont think I've earned 500,000 yet but I have built 500,000 dollar homes......may times over. There is no balance. If we could sit and say.....we want X$ for this service and that is that, like our government does, like the health care industry does, like our corporate leaders do, like insurance industries do, like the utilitys do, like the oil companies do........but we can not, we must take what is offered or start over again. Then a time comes when one is done starting over again, after all "starting" seemed to take a decade, Im sure its the same for the college people. saying "I did it, therefore anyone can", is........... whatever. Without everyone haveing the same exact interests, abilities and desires you can not assume there is a level playing field. Abilities does not mean superiority of human either, it means what one has the ability to withstand or enjoy or accomplish. I can take the weather, the dirt, the sweet and blood but I couldnt take 40 hours in an office full of "players" playin some game I didnt sign up for. At the same time those people could not take what I have endured........that is abilities and implies in no way what so ever, where in lies "superiority" "No one said, life was fair" no but "point me to the man that says it can not be, and I will show you the problem"
