  1. ...to the "world car" trend in strategy the automakers are using is what it is doing to design. Those damned european pedestrian laws are giving new cars a big, bulbous, clown nose. I think it flat out destroys most designs. Discuss.
  2. re: the original post: The cost of globalism in pictures. Face it people, the empire is dead and we have killed it. When those at the top begin to feel it, it will be too late to fix it.
  3. I've been expecting this.
  4. Happy belated.
  5. Pretty damn cool. The quarter window kinda screws-up the flow of the lines - but I still like it.
  6. Amen, Balthazar, amen.
  7. Lawyers screw everything up by making mountains out of mole hills. Legal realities aside, this is inane.
  8. Wait, didn't Google buy a fleet of Cobalts for that job?
  9. Wouldn't bother me, I wanted it to be a hardtop like the concept.
  10. I'd have to agree with Balthazar on the value, but this isn't one of Ghia's better styling efforts. I like most of the Ghia concepts, and I like wagons, but I'd pass on this one if I had the cash to collect concept cars.
  11. Make sure to read the second page: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1962-1963-oldsmobile-f85-jetfire.htm
  12. Interesting, I went with a much more powerful version of the 215. The turbo version in the '62 Jetfire.
  13. I think I ought to have one of these.
  14. The times are what they are.
  15. Just wanted to be clear. Seriously though, a choice of multiple bodystyles for each model is what I want to see.
  16. I based my answers on the CAR restriction as well. If all bodystyles were included, I'd bump the sedan up a notch - to a position just above the minivan.
  17. Did some research, and now have the answer. Right engine- wrong brand. I'll let the mystery stand until Balthazar gets back here.
  18. Almost has to be the Buick V8 later sold to Rover. Now what did they name the car?
  19. Very early for an aluminum V8...
  20. Agreed 100% Wagons make sense and look good doing it. A sedan ranks dead last in my list of preferred bodystyles.
  21. I very much doubt we have the whole story on this.
  22. I think this is a question all automakers should be asking on a continuing basis.
  23. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery, just don't post when you are full of percocets.
  24. I've seen both wagon and "Camino" versions.
