  1. No surrender...
  2. I'm with Ocn on this one. The L-cars were painfully boring, but were decent transportation pieces. They were not junk-by-design like the J-cars.
  3. ...and the boredom train rolls on.
  4. Thanks,DF. BV: Real sorry to see this happen, you could use some better luck.
  5. I'm guessing that the Jetta met its fate while I was offline. Someone want to fill me in? Or post a link?
  6. *sigh* Thanks for the invite, FOG. No way do I have time for that kind of adventure right now...
  7. Glad to see you back, Carbiz.
  8. Ease up on the racial undertones folks - just let it go, the principals have.
  9. Not exactly guys. First Saturn has never made money. There has never been a return on the absolutely massive investment put into it. Second, the creation of Saturn was a tacit admission by then management that they had no idea how to manage the business. The creation of Saturn was a cowardly act by a foolish management team.
  10. I can see both sides of this particular coin, perhaps because (like Balthazar) I lived through this time period. That the Cimmaron was unmitigated junk is beyond question, but as Balthazar reminds us, it was actually well-received at the time. At that time, FWD econo-junk was being pushed as the latest and greatest (it wasn't, of course). This was a dark time for anyone who loved cars, the light at the end of the tunnel only showed-up with the debut of the third gen f-bodies in '82 and the Mustang 5.0 GT in '83 (I think it was '83). In '84 the C-4 debuted and the slow-steady improvement began. The J-body cars were pure crap, just like the X- bodies before them. This is the time when Detroit went wrong, and hasn't yet been forgiven for it.
  11. Looking good! I still want that ride...
  12. PA is a title state - no matter how old the car. That said, transfer from out of state is dead simple (with a title). I've done it quite a few times. Without a title, you will have to make sure that the state it comes from does not require the car to be titled. PA will check.
  13. Which is just another failing of management.
  14. Never been much of a sleeper - my brain doesn't seem to have an off switch. Mostly, I can deal with it. Sometimes though, the insomnia gets pretty bad. Sorry that I don't have any reliable solutions to offer. I actually like being awake all night now and then - I just don't much care for mornings.
  15. Saw this one coming...
  16. Could be a bad accelerator pump in the carb (would need a rebuild). A clogged cat can also cause those symptoms ( bet its original).
  17. I don't care if it makes sense, I like it. Granted, I'd like it much more with the rest of the second gen curves intact, but I still like it. Add the curves and it would look right at home next to a Solstice coupe.

    I saw...

Had my picture taken with Carrol Shelby. Lots of musicians...
  19. Little?
  20. Tree > Focus
  21. I've been chewing on this choice for a while already. No decisions yet.
