  1. Let's try to take the political discourse up a notch in this thread, shall we? Forgetting the personalities and parties involved, what do you want to see/expect from, our next president and congress? Issues only, please.
  2. I think this thread crossed over into pointless territory a long time ago. Let's just let this one die.
  3. ...from one of the major party candidates volunteers. It really doesn't matter which one. They wanted to know if "they could count on my support". When I said that I was undecided, the volunteer was at a loss for words. It was as if she couldn't fathom the idea. I can't stand sheep.
  4. I've been offline quite a bit lately and just noticed it this morning in Member's Rides.
  5. Like I said, it's rude.
  6. And that's why I'm a Libertarian.
  7. Actually, any political thread that isn't labeled as such is subject to being locked. And Bimmer is absolutely correct about how we expected the membership to discuss political topics. Shape up! This thread is now closed.
  8. Nice! When did this car come into your life, Ocn?
  9. Excellent.
  10. I have never had a problem with the Cobalt name, and it now has positive name recognition. Dumping Cobalt is foolish at this point. Cruze is just inane. I do like the Monza name though.
  11. It's simple really, no one has enough time to devote to the site at the moment. It will get better at some point, but right now it would be a tall order. I agree that C&G needs a major updating, and I'm sure that isn't lost on the rest of the staff. I've been thinking some ideas over lately, but simply getting by has occupied most of my time.
  12. If you are doing what I do, texting means you aren't working and MP3 use means you are not paying attention to what you are doing. I'm not paying for that. I also got very tired of having to walk right up to the person in question to get his attention when I had something to say. It's rude and it's wrong, and I'm done putting up with it.
  13. Oldsmoboi is right, they will sign you up when you renew your license. So get on with it.
  14. I don't do it - period. In fact I have outlawed both texting and MP3 use by my helpers at work. Both are rude, disruptive, and antisocial.
  15. I wish I could find the time to do the idea justice. But I have to be honest and say that it isn't too likely in the short term.
  16. :rotflmao: Trying the same thing again and again expecting a different result.
  17. You know, I don't think it's possible for me to care any less about something than I do this.
  18. Not including Holden and Pontiac in any plans for Alpha would simply be moronic. In fact, those two brands should be Alpha's core. Buick is just about the silliest place to apply Alpha imaginable.
  19. Frankly, I think very few people will rebuff the 5th gen due to size/weight. The car is poised to do extremely well in a tough environment.
  20. Interesting, but suspect.
  21. Two things Argen: 1. Please read the stickied reminder at the top of the To GM section - the staff has to approve all posts in here before they will be visible. Double posting will just make more work for us. 2. Are you seriously judging GM cars on the basis of 30+ year-old, worn out, examples? Examples, I might add, that are still around after all that time. Kind of weakens your postition a bit , doesn't it?
  22. It's an odd mix here, you have the urban areas which are primarily democrat, the rural areas full of republicans with some union democrats, and the burbs which are full of socially liberal republicans. So this state can go any which way in a given election. I think that the unpredictable nature of PA is why it is often a battleground state.
  23. Well, the candidates must believe it is a battleground. They are here all the time and spending a ton of money on ads, mail, and phone calls.
  24. Well, GM has said that that is the plan for E-flex. A plan that they should have applied elsewhere a bit more often.
