  1. The window is "cubed" top to bottom and side to side, but is still in place so far. I think I'll cover it in and out with contact paper or something before removing it to minimize the glass shards. I know this window should be an easy find, but it galls me that I had at least one in stock for years - and now that I need it , it appears to be gone.
  2. It might be totaled by a run-in with a goose by the pond.
  3. Every new vehicle I have purchased has been a GM product - no Prius jokes in my driveway.
  4. Umm, no. Toyota reduced the goal to 200k and then failed to meet this reduced goal. The truck has glaring design flaws, and was trending down in sales even before the oil crisis hit. Not to mention the billions spent on development and all new plant (the second plant is cancelled at this point, if I recall correctly). Toyota has now swung and missed three times with this product. Yes, it is their biggest mistake - and a very expensive and embarassing one at that. The Tundra, simply put, is a POS.
  5. People are stupid, it's that simple.
  6. Go ahead, make my day. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Looks like I'll need to add some money to the budget for this project. While working on the wagon a few days ago, I looked over at The Mothertruck to see that its rear window had spontaneously exploded! Weird since the truck has been completely still and untouched for a very long time. The worst part is that I had at least one spare window hanging around for years, now it seems I must have given it away at some point.
  8. The best part? Toyota is tenth!
  9. Looks like there is room for an LSx to me. I love the look of the profile and front end, though the back end may bit just a bit over the top. Not boring in any way, that's for sure.
  10. Tundra is, as I predicted, a real loser. In fact, it is the worst mistake Toyota has made in recent memory.
  11. I'm told that that is being worked on.
  12. I don't know what the significance of these cars might be beyond being movie cars, but Damn! I found this over on CZ28 posted by member detltu. By CaminoLS6
  13. Same crap, different day. You'd think someone who spent the time to write an article might have something new to offer. This guy doesn't.
  14. Anyone who can should take advantage of the panicking sheep.
  15. More pics soon.
  16. True enough. I wouldn't be too surprised to see this approach used on an Alpha Camaro next time around. This gen, not so much. But, from all reports, the V6 is really something this time and could lay the groundwork for an idea like yours by gaining a really good performance rep.
  17. I agree with Balthazar's assessment of these trucks. I work mine hard and it always does what I ask without complaint. The cost of admission is high, but a Duramax/Allison Silverado will outperform your expectations.
  18. Scheduled for the 21st: http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro/ The Dealers get a live conference the following day.
  19. Those Silverados are great all around trucks, James. It's hard to go wrong with any of them provided that they are in good condition and well-maintained. Thing is, there are so many configurations and options involved that we'd need more info. on what you're looking for from a truck to give you much guidance. These trucks run the gamut from cheap V6 work trucks to high-end status cruisers and from light duty half tons to duallies. I would say to avoid the 6.0 V8 if you are concerned at all with fuel economy - it's a great engine, but very thirsty. The 8.1 big block actually gets better mileage.

  21. GM seems to have a heavy case of multiple personality disorder, doesn't it? Or... Maybe Uncle Bob read up on the C&G census. :AH-HA_wink: http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=24611
  22. A new Yukon XL with stick-on rectangular portholes. bling rims. and a 20-something idiot owner blasting hip-hop. What an ass.
  23. Good point.
  24. Some I don't care. Some I wonder about. Some I know. :AH-HA_wink:
  25. Sweet stuff at that show: NHRA-style second gen Camaro, the Caminos, the Holden, and even a '57 sedan delivery! Thanks for posting.
