  1. GM and FMC could benefit from working together politically rather than just on tech items. Together, they could apply huge pressure on elected officials, the UAW, suppliers, health care reform, trade issues, shipping, US auto industry promotion/PR, charity events, regulatory issues of all kinds, etc.

Completely agree. If I wanted anything the size of the Tahoe, I would just buy a Suburban for the extra space. But, the Tahoe hit the spot for thousands of SUV buyers and couldn't be built fast enough when it debuted. Can't say I understand why those folks bought it instead of the Suburban, but they did. Suburbans are miraculous in how easy they are to drive and park, extremely tight turning radius for such a big vehicle. I don't need one, but I love 'em and would buy one over a Tahoe any day. That is until they make a 2-door again.
  3. About 2 months away from a chance of that here. Could even be longer (past Christmas). I love Autumn, hope it takes its time this year.
  4. It's tough to draw lines as there is so much overlap. The early '70's was nothing like the late '70's, for example. 5. A limited alliance could help both, but a full merger scares the crap out of me.
  6. Everything but the roof and the rocker seem to be covered in fake panels. Must be the most expensive camo job ever.

I had a pic of the GMT800 2-door mule, but it's now lost on my dead hard-drive. It was white and looked good as well as being much more practical than the K5. 68: agreed on the wheelbase thing. (I have other problems with the K5 as well)
  8. Damn. My TV was made in about 1984 and was free. So far, I have yet to ever purchase a TV and never have owned a VCR. No DVD,no cable,no satellite, no nuthin.
  9. I'm not so sure the mention of flames is a good idea given his car's track record.

  21. On a crystal morning I can see the dewdrops falling down from a gleaming heaven I can hear the voices call When you coming home now, son. The world is not for you Tell me what's your point of view Hey there, mister madman watcha know that I don't know Tell me some crazy stories, let me know who runs this show Glassy-eyed and laughing, he turns and walks away Tell me what made you that way Here I am just waiting for a sign All my life I knew that it was mine It's always here, It's always there It's just love and miracles out of nowhere Tell me now dear mother, what's it like to be so old Children grown and leaving, seems the world is growing cold Though your body's ailing you, your mind is just like new Tell me where you're going to It's so simple lying right before your eyes If you'll only look through this disguise It's always here, It's always there It's just love and miracles out of nowhere Love and miracles out of nowhere Out of nowhere
  22. Glad things are working out.
  23. First, let me echo OCN's welcome to the board. Second, I'd say such a car might be possible at some point.
