  1. The Vega - sure. The Chevette - NEVER!
  2. Actually, the Allison in my Silverado could use another reverse gear. It is insanely low.
  3. I agree on the camcord and the Durango (which is also painfully ugly) I disgree on the 3: It may be overpriced, and suffer from Bangle's corrupt touch, but is still a benchmark car. The last pre-Bangle M3 is a classic in my book and I would consider buying a clean example after the "silly money" portion of the price wears off. The Prius should top the list. I have a more generous view of the 300 (though the base car is pointless). The Charger gets all of my LX hate. It is stunningly ugly and a cheap re-badge in my view. I like the 300, but would buy a Magnum first. The upcoming Challenger is sex on wheels and redeems DCX's other mis-steps with LX. Land Rovers have always been quirky, overpriced, British silliness and remain so. But an old Defender90 would be fun to play with. Viper: Styling edge is most definetly lost. It might be a better all-around car now, but it lacks the visceral appeal of the original. I'll take a late last-gen GTS coupe in blue, thank you. :AH-HA_wink: Oh yeah, Porsche SUVs are a crime against nature.

Good point. However, what do you do when you don't like the G6 or the Avenger? I don't think this car is hideous, except for the Chargeresque Cpillar, rear door, and rear quarter. It's no standout, but the front is attractive to a point, the rear is ok(if a little generic) and the profile would be somewhat attractive if the Charger influence was deleted. Yeah, the proportions are off and the bumpers are too big and the wheels look too small, but it's just an average sedan so average looks are not a major crisis. Tone down some of the nastier bits and you have a passable and contemporary sedan. As for the G6, I still freakin hate it. The concept showed so much promise, none of which was delivered with the production car. The hardtop vert looks especially awful with the top down. It's almost as ugly as a Lexus vert. I am really looking forward to the day the G6 (and the inane G# naming scheme) are both history.
  5. I like both. Small planes are great fun, though the airline experience just sucks especially with all the post-9/11 paranoid search crap. I'd rather be free than have the illusion of "safety" Right now, I'm jonesing for a road trip.
  6. Ya know, I just can't make myself give a rat's pucker about the "famous for being famous" crowd - no matter the situation.
  7. Thanks for the laugh,NOS This is a great idea, I'll try to contribute when I'm not so tired.
  8. I expect to be putting 1 or 2 of my cars on the block at the auction.
  9. Hmm.
  10. Good to hear some upbeat news! Congratulations!

  12. Wow, just brilliant.

  14. Wow, are you serious? If so, we will never see eye to eye. The pre-Lutz stuff was the lowest point in GM's history.
  15. 1. Perhaps, but still quite healthy by most measures. And , this has nothing to do with GM in particular as all automakers will be subject to the health of the economy. 2. Last time I checked, they were declining. 3. The UAW has seen the light and been VERY supportive of GM's turnaround. 4.Has been so far, no reason to think otherwise. 5. How could you possibly know? Spoken for? Maybe. Spent? Certainly not.

The bodystyle also makes the wheels look tiny.

Except for the nose, those styling cues seem a little awkward on that size of a car.

  21. I have my suspicions...
  22. How much do you pay him?
  23. Painfully ugly. The small windows of the rear doors are pure foolishness, why make a known blind spot even worse? Interior looks cheap and very dated. Another swing and another miss.
