  1. So. You buying it, or not?
  2. Both looked better in earlier iterations, but the Durango is flat hideous.
  3. For the money, I would expect at least 50 more hp.
  4. I bet Maytag is a CR "Best Pick" :AH-HA_wink:
  5. Monte Report: '86 LS 305, $1,600 neg. '87 SS aerocoupe $6,000 '87 LS 305, $4,500 '87 SS, $3,800 '88 SS, $3,750
  6. What? Like a baseball or something?
  7. 2k for A/C? Should be standard on everything.
  8. Here, here! But, I want my El Camino SS too. :AH-HA_wink:
  9. You should be seeing thumbnails, try clicking on what you see and maybe you'll get the pics.
  10. Anyone take a sledgehammer to the deer yet?
  11. What he said. It was a bad idea then and a worse one now.
  12. Relax Reg, this is a good idea. It is likely the only idea that will keep Pontiac alive and viable going forward. Consider these points: Pontiac is not a stand alone brand at the retail level, it has been paired with Buick and or GMC for very long time and now all three are combined into a single sales channel officially. Buick will continue to offer upscale FWD at the same locations where these new RWD Pontiacs will be sold. Zeta is designed to support AWD as are many upcoming GM architectures and good AWD systems are designed on a platform with a RWD bias. I think you can rest assured that at least some of these new performance Pontiacs will be AWD. Volume and fleet are better handled by other divisions of GM, as are trucks and SUVs. This plan would make Pontiac the most focused brand in the GM portfolio and take major steps toward eliminating divisional overlap. Just think about it for a while and I think you'll see the merit of this idea. The alternative would be eliminating the brand.
  13. There are plenty of MCs in there. I could scan the pic of the Caprice, but it is a small newsprint photo and you won't see much. Gotta go now, I'll check on the Montes later today for you.
  14. Evok, I am a more than capable reader and I do understand your points, I just think that you are wrong in the short term at least. Also the notion that the V8 is dead is not supportable. I make no definitive claims about market penetration anywhere in my posts. Please cease to be so patronizing in your tone, it demeans both of us. You need to re-read my posts as you obviously have misinterpreted them.
  15. Hot ,humid and generally $h!ty here in PA as well. We were having such a nice cool Spring until a few days ago. The sled dogs and I hid inside all day away from the sun. Still hot and nasty here at quarter of one. I hate summer weather.
  16. I'm not so sure about that, I'd say that there are more cars with V8s now than even a few years ago with more in the pipeline. But, even if true, it certainly does not equate to the "death" of the v8. Perhaps it would be helpful if you were to put a timeline to this prediction of yours so we could put it in a more complete perspective. Do you see the extinction of the V8 coming in 5 years? Ten ? Oh, and some of us are buying those v8s. I myself have purchased 4 new v8 powered GM products since 2001. In fact, every new vehicle that I have ever bought has been a V8. Car or truck, gas or diesel, all V8s and all from 1987 - 2004(purchase date).
  17. They wouldn't let you buy one with both a 350TPI and a 5spd. back then. It was one or the other. I hated it when GM did stupid things like that.
  18. No on the big block Vettes but there is a '63 split window Firebirds: the one I posted above and an all out drag car '69 (tubbed) GTO: '67,'68,'70,'71 $ 17k,$ 4,650 ,23k , 28k respectively
  19. Wow Satty, you are really lucky. That thing is absolutely bent and spent.
  20. Read it. Thought it over. Don't agree. Time will tell.
