  1. Chi? Tell us more.
  2. Saw a new red CTS-V on the way home yesterday. It was headed in the opposite direction; I had to look at the tails in the rear-view mirror to make sure it was an '09.
  3. Sixty8, that was largely WCW and not WWF/E, although they had a short run there too. And I answered "no." A world government would only have as much internal stability as GM does right now.
  4. Memphis doesn't have much longer in this tournament. I'm calling it.
  5. GM could still be everything to everyone. It's just that for the longest time they've been really bad at it.
  6. I see what you did there. Anyway, 2LT/RS, Imperial Blue, 6AT, sunroof... $30,685. ... and, 2SS, Red Jewel, 6AT, sunroof, 21" black aluminum wheels... $41,425. Camaro_2SS.bmp
  7. I considered that. All I'm sayin in response to that is... if they can't put an LSx in there, they can keep it.
  8. It's not worse at all. You're probably looking at that 24, which is the highway rating for the manual SS.
  9. My two cents as it pertains to the interior of the Camaro: I'm not so much a fan of how it looks (the chunkiness, really). However, if it is so highly functional that it will allow me to attend perfectly to the task at hand -- piloting the car -- then I can easily overlook the design. Someone earlier mentioned that both the Camaro and Mustang sold well during an economic downturn in the US. Are we seeing everything old become new again in more ways than one?

    Polo, anyone?

    An 8.5/10ths Jetta?
  11. Patriotism, ur doin it wrong... (I just always wanted to say that)
  12. Two of the least-often-seen GMT-360s... the Bravada and the Ascender. In the same parking lot.
  13. I'm pretty sure they could remedy that if they really wanted to...
  14. That would be a very telling accomplishment, I've been told...
  15. RE: the title of ths thread, I think this would slot above the GTI.
  16. He was joking, Enzl. :AH-HA_wink: I agree with the rest.
  17. I've noticed that any time a company tries to surpass GM, they encounter GM's problems. Case in point: Toyota.
  18. Right outside my apartment building, a CLEAN 3rd-gen Taurus SHO, in all black. Perfect... except for the ubiquitous-in-Baltimore-metro tacked-on fender vents.
  19. He was saying the same things, though, when the Ultra V8 was still in development, a replacement for the STS/DTS was still destined to be a Zeta vehicle, and the CTS-V was just beginning to show that it could and would outperform the German competition (one out of three ain't bad). Same stuff, different day. EDIT: Is there a limit as to how much Sigma can be stretched? I think someone mentioned it earlier.
  20. Actually, every Audi (except the R8) can be had in FWD across the pond. We just get the most tarted-up models on this side (well, except the RS6...) They have the A8 available with a 2.8L V6 over there... and not available with quattro. I see your point, though, about sharing platforms with mass-market vehicles. Somehow I picture this as a more global strategy for GM... adding to their Cadillac line over there as well. However, doesn't mean I like it.
  21. Everyone forgets about Audi...

    2009 Mazda6

We're not buying right now, so the deals don't matter.
  23. My immediate family has never owned, of the extant US-market brands during my life: Buick, Daewoo, Geo, GMC, HUMMER, Oldsmobile, SAAB, Saturn. The foreign and much older brands go without saying.

I'm trying to talk my wife into possibly considering a CTS, but she's not too sold... yet. I'm still trying to convince her that Cadillac != Fleetwood-like boat in this case. And she would NOT drive an MKS. (That would be more my speed. ) CTS bases higher than both the fully-loaded Fusion and the 6, to say nothing of when comparably equipped. There's a chance that when we get ready to buy, the dealers won't be just giving cars away either like they are now.
