  1. About the car itself... ... if only I had the money... ... and hadn't just bought a car in October... ... and could drive stick...
  2. See, that's why GM can't sell cars and make money doing so now... everyone waits for rebates, no matter how awesome the car is... *observation* However, I would wait out the dealer markup.
  3. Didn't know this.
  4. I WANT A RECOUNT! Nah, I'm playin. Look forward to you flexing your newfound muscle around here, DF.
  5. Charlotte's twice as big as Raleigh, but I think you knew that. Charlotte pretty much is its own entity, whereas with Raleigh you can easily swing over to Cary, Durham, or Chapel Hill to find things to do and places to see. I'll let FoG chime in here... he's a Charlottean, whereas I don't even live in NC (yet).
  6. Like Oldsmoboi said, I was never fond of two doors, even when I was small and had little to no problem fitting into the back seat. As someone who has customarily shuttled people around as the driver (why do few of my friends like driving?), I've found 4 doors to be much less of a hassle, especially in my adult years.
  7. Incidentally, Toyota did reveal a new Avensis in Paris. Here's the gallery on Toyota GB's website...
  8. This (in SHO form) may be my next car... hopefully in 5 years or less. C'mon GM, let's get that new Impala right. Make the decision hard for the buyers!
  9. Looks nice though. When I was car shopping, I had hoped to run across an STS but they were extremely hard to come by... and sold a lot quicker. Back on subject, I don't have a problem with the Spark... just the viability of this segment in the US. Would this be considered A-segment?

    TaB

    Fake Dr. Pepper?

    TaB

My computer science teacher in HS ALWAYS had a can of TaB handy. Matter of fact, so have other teachers of mine. Must be a (female) teacher drink...

    An Icy Stare

Was behind the most recent Continental earlier today, and realized how many cues the MKS took from it (from the rear fascia at least). Also, on the same trip, saw a Toyota Venza at the dealership while driving by. Meh at its finest.
  13. I noticed it earlier today. The Citgo that the wife goes to often is up to $1.69, a jump of maybe 19 cents.
  14. I'm torn. One, I have condolences for the people who wanted one, especially everyone's favorite admin here. On the other hand, I never really thought it should have been in the cards in the first place. Not as a Pontiac, at the very least.

    Tax tips?

I pretty much grew up with it (my mom always did her own taxes, as well as everyone else's). Never not gotten money back, though that could have a lot to do with the fact that I'm a student and both the wife and I are educators. It's so easy a caveman could use it. Seriously though. Just make sure you get the right version for your needs.

    Tax tips?

    Buy TurboTax.
  17. Let's see... model turnovers for the 7 and Z4. Beyond that, just pain.
  18. Hey, I did that once in college with the Pathfinder. I'm just surprised it didn't slide back off since the snow was turning to ice.
  19. That's some nice hardware there.
  20. Congrats to you. May this time around be much more long-lasting. This is usually what a female would say, but I'm curious, so... SHOW US THE RING! :useless:
  21. My Bonneville is a "Bonnie." Let's see what I've heard of as far as shortened car model names (non-GM)... Max(ima) Bull (for Taurus) Six (for Mercedes-Benz S600) Nav(igator) (or Navi) It's true though.... GM products do come with more nicknames. I can find one for most models.
  22. I'll just ask one hint, Chris... Which wheels power it?
  23. Now you're just talking silly...
  24. Yeah, I enjoyed that as well.
