  1. I had classmates who were going gray... in 10th grade.
  2. In the same way, modern Spanish has had a LOT of influence from the Arab occupation for seven centuries. Does this mean Spanish shouldn't be a true Romance language?

    Polo, anyone?

I like it, actually. There are some really good subcompacts coming out these days.
  4. Although we get snow every winter here (Baltimore), we get quite a bit less than you guys up there. I see a fairly even mix of RWD and AWD (strangely, most of the Infiniti G/M and Lexus IS/GS have the AWD option). The BMWs, MBs, and Cadillacs are either-or. To everyone else talking about how RWD is perfectly doable with snow tires, what's your advice to people who live in areas where snow tires aren't an expedient purchase?
  5. There are a couple of Spanish languages missing...
  6. I don't know what I saw... the snow covered them all up. Was it still in service?
  7. Not bad, not bad at all. My father used to have an '87 735i, the last model year before it switched over to Julie's generation (E32). Absolutely wonderful driving car. Taught me the benefits of good steering feel and driver feedback.
  8. Portuguese accent? ZL-1, can you confirm or deny?
  9. If Cadillac is going back to FWD, it'd be nice if they had their own dedicated platforms, much like Audi (save for the A3 and TT). I don't think they'll be trying to design longitudinal FWD/AWD, however.
  10. Paulie, there is so much truth in this statement it ain't even funny.
  11. This is the only time in which I've had a problem. Sorry the picture's blurry; I took it at night. Just pointed, clicked, and hoped for the best. I'll try a better one soon. My camera's not phosisticated enough for macro mode either. ... or if it is, I haven't figured out how to use it.
  12. OK, so here's the deal. On my Bonneville ('01 SLE), I've been unable to engage the parking brake since I got the car. I don't know if there's anything wrong with the cables or anything... ...but what I have found is that there's some kind of obstruction that keeps the pedal from traveling at all... almost like it was disassembled and then put back together wrong. Look at the uploaded picture... the piece right in the middle is what's blocked from traveling anywhere by the metal piece right behind it. (Sorry I don't have any more technical terms other than "piece") Has anyone (on a Bonnie or Park Avenue) seen something like this before? How might I go about remedying this?
  13. You'd be surprised what enviro-Nazis and Toyota-lovers think should and can happen before the next Presidential elections. Or maybe you wouldn't be surprised.
  14. Everyone who wants the Detroit companies to go away say that plug-ins are what's gonna save us. However, they won't save us if our electrical infrastructure doesn't get upgraded, and who knows when that's gonna happen...
  15. I would agree. With this generation of cars, I'm finding myself preferring understated to ostentatious.

    Apple

Apples are for eating. Back in elementary school, all we used were Apples. The old nasty ones like these: Wow, my school was using discontinued computers...

    EYE CANDY

... annnnnnnd another Arnage Red Label in DC. Also a slew of Ford Flexes.

    EYE CANDY

Infiniti M30 convertible in DC. Also a Bentley sedan... I had to look it up and it's an Arnage Red Label. First Bentley I've seen that wasn't a Continental.
  19. How does it drive? I've wanted to try an Audi for some time now. A bigger one, though. :AH-HA_wink:
  20. Well played, sir, well played.
  21. You were gone?
  22. I SAID TORONTO!!!! To be fair, I've never traveled west of Alabama.
  23. Toronto, Ontario. I need to get out of the country more... Toronto is the only non-US major city I've been to.
  24. Well, the only current Saturn that's not also an Opel analogue is the OUTLOOK. So given Saturn's recent booming sales (read: the past couple of years), I don't hold out much hope for that.
