  1. I still top off the tank every time. If I don't buy it now, I'll still need it later and who knows where I'll be in relation to a gas station at the time. Plus the prices are just going up, so it's most likely going to cost more later too.
  2. Interesting... looks a bit odd up front, but maybe it will grow on me. I still think the best looking Max was the late 90s bodystyle.
  3. If Buick isn't getting a Zeta sedan, they better be working on something else. Buick is starved for models as it is.
  4. Wow, this thing is beautiful...
  5. Not surprising... I just got back from vacation in the Outer Banks. Saw lots of Wranglers down there, and almost all of the new bodystyle were four-doors.
  6. I'll second that. I don't think the mid-size SUV segment will ever die (unless it is intentionally killed off). I think there will be a thinning out of the owner ranks as those that don't use them offroad are lured to the more car-like car based offerings out there, and secondly the Trailblazer is just getting old. Some new styling, better interior and six-speed auto is needed. I would rather see Chevy get a [next gen] Colorado based Blazer.
  7. WOOHOO, I'll be eagerly be following this one...
  8. HUD and the "brick" interior on the Acadia. Seems odd that they chose not to offer HUD on the Enclave.
  9. Most of the obvious ones have been mentioned already, but add to the list: Chrysler Lebaron and Sebring convertibles, as well as the Chrysler TC by Maserati. Lumina Z34 and Monte Z34/SS. My second cousin has a '93 Z34 in his garage along with his Camaro, Corvette, Caprice, Trans AM and GTO. Beretta GT, GTU/GTZ, Z26 and Indy. When my girlfriend owned her '90 GT, she belonged to a Beretta club, apparently they have a pretty big following. also, probably the Acura Integra/RSX
  10. so far, it's not bad. Need to see more of the front/back/interior. It's a shame Buick didn't have any North American concepts this year.
  11. I prefer soft, but still supportive. The matress I had at my parents house came from Sam's Club... it ws like cloth covered springs. When I bought my own matress, I got the plushest one I could find without going to a pillowtop. I didn't like the height of the pillowtops, and didn't find it anymore comfortable for the added money. Mine is considered "luxury firm". BTW: I went back and slept on my old matress one night last summer, and it ws AWFUL... I could never go back.
  12. I loved the look of the mini-quads too, and they were pretty bright. Replacing them sucked at $35 a piece though.I miss my Cutlass...
  13. yes... all 88-91 models had digital dashes. For 92-93 digital dashes only came in the "S" models, as the digital rallye cluster was replaced with the analog guages for '92 and became standard on the SL, International Series and convertible.
  14. Did GM ever actually sell the EV1? I thought I remembered them only leasing them so they could have them back...
  15. House: *Put up new ceiling on front porch *paint all other trim/posts/railing on said porch *get new garage door and opener *insulate attic (probably more of a fall thing than summer) Work: *work sucks Car: *hopefully nothing *save money for new car Vacation: *don't have anything planned yet. I really want to go to the Outer banks of North Carolina for some reason... never been there. I know I won't be going back to Punta Cana this year, as I didn't get a passport. Myrtle Beach/Garden City SC is a possibility.
  16. I like the new front styling, but when did the Grand Cherokee become a "full size" SUV?
  17. Horrible, chunky and mis-proportioned, especially at the rear. I can't remember the last time I even saw a Lexus SUV that wasn't a RX though..
  18. Interesting... looks more like a wagon than I expected. Honestly, not sure if I like it or hate it yet. Shame GM didn't trademark "Vista Roof" to prevent Ford from doing so.
  19. More square and blocky, just like the Commander and Patriot. All these new Jeeps are beginning to have an inbred look. The rear looks like a Dodge Nitro though.
  20. Wow, you've been busy lately! Congrats on the new job! I can't believe they gave you an 04 for a rental... I was upset when I got an 04 Focus in 2005.
  21. I've never had a "new" vehicle, but I kept my Cutlass Supreme coupe for 6 1/2 years. I originally didn't plan on keeping that long, but lack of comparable replacement kept it around a bit longer. I would have kept it longer still if it didn't start breaking down/leaving me stranded on a monthly basis. I've had my Impala for about a year and a half... plan on keeping it for another year and a half to two years. If I go ahead with my plans to go brand new next time (Impala or Lacrosse), I plan on keeping it for at least ten years, or longer if there isn't anything comparable to replace it with at the time (front wheel drive and bench seat). I pretty much always want the same thing, just with different styling and fuel economy improvement would be a bonus.
  22. Awesome... a dream trip for sure! It would be great if Saturn would have more merchandise available, especially die-cast. I would also be VERY interested in a Saturn car larger than the Aura.
  23. Born and raised here. I've always wanted to get out of here and move somewhere warmer, but as I get older it gets harder to do. My friends and family are here, my job is here and now my house is here. I tried so hard just to get out of the county when I was looking to buy my house. During the hunting process, my grandma passed away and I sort of fell into her house where I wasn't looking. If I had family somewhere else, I could use my second job as a crutch and transfer to a different location, and then look for a primary job to replace it. I think it would be difficult to move to a new place without knowing anyone there, as I've never been that great at meeting new people to begin with. In addition to a job and house, I'd have to find a new mechanic, dentist, barber, etc. Ideally, I would like to relocate to the mountians of North or South Carolina. Close enough to drive to the beach for the weekend, but far enough away that hurricanes aren't a problem. Perhaps in retirement...
  24. I hope Chevy gets a more minivan like vehicle, with sliding doors and a column shift/front seat walktrough.
