2007 Hot Wheels
Cool...those random finds are the most fun, IMHO..

What was the first car..
As a kid in the mid '70s, I fell in love with my dad's '69 Mustang..the fastback styling ('Sportsroof'), shark nose, width, etc, the rumbly exhaust, the speed...I just love the look of the '69/70 Mustangs. That car has been in my family since new--I helped my folks restore it in the mid '80s, and it passed from my father to my mom and it's now mine (stored at my mom's place in Ohio with my '87 Mustang GT). I'd like to get a '70 Mach 1 to go with it..

0-Day 4-Door Wrangler Supply?
I like the Wrangler in both the 2dr and 4dr forms.. it's a good product, better for Jeep than the Compass, IMHO. I've thought a used Rubicon would be a fun vehicle, though I wouldn't want one as a daily driver (too rough, too basic inside).

The Nissan skit.
'Shortened word version'? Nope, that's a racial slur..you are only making yourself sound like a redneck...and you need a spell checker.
-
Do you ever...
Hmmm....interesting..speaking of pilots, I had an interview today with a company that is a subsidiary of Boeing..

The Nissan skit.
Yes, complete nonsense... you can't equate selling merchandise to war crimes.. where a consumer product is made ultimately DOESN'T MATTER..what counts is that it is a quality product for a fair price.

Fate of Imperial rests on CAW shoulders
I saw this concept in person..it's huge. I like the rear alot more than the front. I think if the whole car were sectioned about 6 inches from the body below the greenhouse, it would look a lot better... Chrysler at one time did some great (IMHO) looking huge cars, like the massive '69-73 Imperials, New Yorkers, etc with 'fuselage' styling that was the high point of the 'lower, longer, wider' mantra...

The world is NOT flat
Well, I've read in more than one article that the 21st Century is the 'Chinese Century' as the 20th was the 'American Century'. The US is a nation in decline...will we end up like Britain or France--a 2nd tier world power but still vibrant and alive, or like Russia--a dying nation with a bleak future?

I've been loving this chick
She's interesting..I read an interview of her in Q magazine last month.

taking a trip to Denver
Yes, lots to do here..the previous posters have it pretty well covered...the 16th st mall downtown is fun, Larimer Square, Writer Square, the general LoDo area, Cherry Creek.. lots of restaurants in CC and the Wash Park area (the park is good for people watching)...the mountains are a short drive away.. Coors Brewery tour in Golden is fun. Blackhawk and Central City have gambling if that's your thing.. Boulder is always interesting, lots there..music, food, etc.. The Cherry Creek etc name gets confusing as it's used for everything around here...the Cherry Creek neighborhood is in Denver proper (basically University and 1st Ave/Speer Blvd), but there is a Cherry Creek high school in Greenwood Village, Cherry Creek Reservoir which is near Aurora, etc. There is also Cherry Hills, which is the Beverly Hills type suburb (and nearby is Greenwood Village, which is kind of a Scottsdale like suburb, near where I work). I used to work in Cherry Creek and had lots of lunch choices everyday..now I'm down south in the DTC (office park along I-25). I used to live in Colorado Springs also, lots to do down there..the Garden of the Gods Park has beautiful rock formations, Manitou Springs in a funky little town, Cripple Creek is close by in the mountains with gambling.. As an aside, I noticed someone mentioned Los Alamos, NM above..neat place..haven't been there in a few years, but a good friend from grad school lives there and works at the LANL. I like that area and Santa Fe quite a bit..

Cadillac to Debut GM's Powerful New V6 Clean Diesel
Just thinking outside the box...I'm not limited to past ideas of what a Camaro is... besides, BMW has diesel coupes..

BMW M3 Concept for Geneva
True...those were fun cars..I had a chance to drive one a few years ago at a club event...great handlers, though the styling was very late '80s overdone (though having an '87 Mustang GT, I'm comfortable with late '80s styling).

BMW M3 Concept for Geneva
Yes... the 6 was one of my favorite aspects of the M3s, like my former E36 and the newer E46s. The V8, though an excellent engine, seems more...ordinary..than a straight 6.

The O.C. Got a New Weekend Toy...
Sweet..I like those cars a lot...when I'm in AZ I always enjoy driving my sister's red '91 300CE (120k miles, excellent condition) and her '85 500SEL (170k miles, excellent condition). That was back when MB still over engineered everything..very solid, reliable cars.

It is SOOOO nasty outside tonight!
Another sunny and 60 degree day here. A very nice change---we've had snow (anywhere from 3 inches to 30 inches) every week, at least once a week, since late December. This is the worst winter I've seen in ten years in Colorado (but still not as horrid as the Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois winters I remember from before).

BMW M3 Concept for Geneva
Looks great, looks like an M3 should, IMHO..clean and subtle. Has the plate in the decklid unlike the bumper-mounted plate in the Top Gear speculative article. Love the color and wheels. Still hard to for me to think of an M3 with a V8 though... M3 Concept article on Global Auto Index

Totally tasteless...nasty interior trim, and all the junk in the trunk.

How much does gas have to be before you scrap your V8 plans?
A V8 Zeta would probably get better gas mileage than my 6 cyl Jeep. My 20 year old V8 Mustang gets better gas mileage than my Jeep.

2007 Hot Wheels
Interesting..haven't found the GN, but I found the white '69 T/A (didn't realize they were doing a '70 also..cool), the yellow Charger SRT8, and the Dodge Ram 4x4 in purple. Lots of good stuff out recently from Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lightning and Greenlight..

It is SOOOO nasty outside tonight!
Hit 60 today..sunny..supposed to be that way through Thurs... I'm going down to Phoenix for a long weekend Friday, so hopefully the weather will still be good then. Normally we get our biggest snows in March and April, though. I'm looking forward to my week vacation in April...get some beach time and get away from all the snow and cold.

2008 Saturn Astra
I'm sure the Astra will come with a book called an 'owners manual' that will explain the function of the controls. I like the design...clean and functional, but I'll admit that I'm partial to German interiors (I love BMW, M-B, and Audi interiors).

Who else has at least driven...
I've driven a Gen 4 ('86 SS) about 20 years ago, and rented a 5th and a couple 6th gens from Avis. That's about it.

Cadillac to Debut GM's Powerful New V6 Clean Diesel
I'd love to see it available in the Camaro with a 6spd manual.

GENEVA: Opel GTC Concept
I like the overall shape, but some of the detailing turns me off (the wierd things below the headlights, the big tailpipe tip thingys)..

30,000 G8 sales per year
Huh? Only one brand... they are all badged as BMWs...two regular 3-series versions in the US--328 and 335, 4 body styles (2dr coupe, convertible, 4dr, 4dr wagon) .
