  1. Sounds like they are going to be down to 3 models for '08.. (LaCrosse, Lucerne, Enclave)..
  2. Sweet.. I'm sure their will be the inevitable police package version and a V8 SS... if they want to do 'upscale' like this article suggests, bringing back the Caprice name for such a trim level would be a Good Thing, IMHO...
  3. The Tundra is no uglier than the current kings of ugly trucks--the Ram and Dakota, IMHO..
  4. I don't know about the dimensions, but the STS looks like it has a really short rear...
  5. I don't see the track being an issue..the STS track is only 0.5 inch narrower than a 7-series, and the width is within 2 inches of the 7-series, and within 1 inch of the S-class...remember, modern full-size luxury cars like the LS, 7-series, S-class aren't as wide as the old time Detroit land yachts...
  6. A picture of a bolt...I don't get it.
  7. My mom will probably still be buying cars at 93...she bought a new Navigator last year at 75. My late father bought his last new Town Car at age 78 in '98.
  8. Chevy has done ugly before though...remember the '02-06 Silverados with the scowly headlights?
  9. I'm the youngest of three...my sister is 13 years older, my brother 21 years older. My brother and I aren't that close, don't talk that often..live 1300 miles apart. My sister and I are very tight, live about 750 miles apart, talk almost every day..
  10. I'm sure the base Tundra will be available in white with black bumpers and tiny wheels for those wanting the fleet work truck look...
  11. True enough...I have many coworkers that seem to be only aware of Toyotas...they come to the US, get their drivers license, get a Corolla or a Camry...
  12. A bunch of dumb rednecks out having a laugh, it looks like... it least it was just a worn-out 4dr, not a 442 w-30 or something... they could have used something truly worthless, though, like an '80s Ciera..
  13. Another way of looking at it is that GM's market share is growing in China..the overall market there is growing rapidly, while in the US it's share is declining, and the market isn't growing overall.. GM is putting it's money where the growth potential is...
  14. We'll see...when I actually see something in GM press releases, I'll believe it..postings by anonymous people on a web forum don't mean a lot...
  15. Just lots of idle speculation, sounds like..
  16. ?? Why not? The Chrysler 300 has a 120 inch wheelbase...the STS/SLS should certainly have as long or a longer wheelbase...
  17. Pontiac...and definitely maybe Buick and Cadillac...a Cadillac version of the GMC Savana with leather, 22 inch bling wheels, big chrome grille, etc...
  18. This car would be a great addition to the US lineup, above the STS.
  19. 3 possible platforms that would make sense for the next Pacifica--LX (a RWD/AWD crossover would be an interesting twist), the next minivan platform, or the Grand Cherokee/Commander platform (with a wheelbase stretch)...
  20. There are several Sprinters around here that have the M-B grille and badging...also the Freightliner ones.
  21. OJ and coffee usually... I either brew coffee at home (Starbucks breakfast blend), get it free at work (we have pretty good coffee), or grab something from Starbucks (White Chocolate Mocha latte) or Einstein's Bagels euro roast on the way.. I like my coffee pretty pale..no sugar, and lots of creamer (Coffee Mate liquid hazenut or French vanilla at home or work, otherwise skim milk). If I get my coffee at work, it sometimes takes 2-3 cups to get me going (I do coffee at work the days I come in early (before 7 am).
  22. Last night I went to vote early at a police station..parked in the lot when I came out was a pale plue early '60s Dodge Lancer...haven't seen one of those in ages... strange looking car, very similiar to a Valiant of that era.
  23. Cool...very retro yet modern.
  24. I came up CTS-v..good fit for my tastes.
  25. It's not 1960..leave BOF to the 20th century, ok?
