Snowing again...

A bit sore all over, twisted my back..have bruises on my right knuckles because I was holding the recycle bin handle and pulled it down on me as I fell.. and of course a couple hours later the ice had melted.

Had a bit here Wednesday night and light flurries yesterday, more coming today. Unusual to see April snow in Ohio, can't recall the last time I've seen that. Had a bit of ice on it, fell at the end of the driveway on my arse yesterday morning when rolling out the wheely bins.

Must have been a pretty rare option, never heard of that feature on other marques until maybe the late 90s...seem to recall Ford putting it in some SUVs (Navigator?)...

Problem is, you can't avoid products or components of products made in China or Asia...with multinational companies and the supply chain, most any consumer product that is electronic or plastic is likely manufactured partially or fully somewhere in Asia, likely in China...that is the reality of the truth and isn't changing anytime soon, as companies always look for the lowest cost source of components...40+ years of globalization isn't changing anytime soon. As much as some people pine for the world to be like 1699 or 1950 or 1960 again or whenever their idealized era is, it isn't happening...

I miss the 747..largely out of service...I think BA flew their last one on the PHX<->LHR route in the last year...I took the BA 747s from PHX and DEN a few times back in the 00s, as well as 777s... loved flying on 747s. I used to see the BA ones taking off out of PHX Sky Harbor on the evening flight while driving down the 10.. I also remember walking around at Honolulu airport and seeing the 747s in various liveries lined up..love that airport, the way it's laid out you get great views of the planes.

If I wanted a 3 row I'd go for the Dodge Durango over any of these..the oldest of the bunch, but I like the design inside and out.

Sounds like as often is the case, Ford and Chevy are let down by cheap skating their products, esp. on the interiors.

I used Uber fairly frequently..was better than a grubby taxi. And being able to call one from my phone and pay/track from my phone as needed was great...I used Uber to get to/from the airport, out to dinner and concerts downtown, etc when I didn't want to deal w/ parking, etc. Back when the world was normal.

Went to the grocery yesterday... I've been taking the Jeep out about a once a week during the current unpleasantness. Running great, though my trips are only maybe 2 miles a week.

We cooked a good meal for Easter brunch--- some country ham, biscuits, gravy, scalloped potatoes. Tasty...now in a food coma. 60 and breezy outside.

On my way to the grocery yesterday saw a clean salmon w/ black top '56 Thunderbird out driving.

Put together this fire pit from a kit from Home Depot, light enough to carry out to the yard or patio. Got a box of birch firewood. Should be fun for evenings out in the yard...

Ohio backroad in fall...about an hour from me.. I miss going out to explore..

One of my favorite recent Pearl Jam tracks..can't believe it's been almost 30 years since I first heard them... and my favorite Super Bowl half time show, Prince from 2007..I love Prince, miss him...his covers of All Along the Watchtower and Best of You are fantastic...

Chilling and enjoying a good bottle of Cline Pinot Noir. The Verve..love this band and their lead singer, Richard Ashcroft.

Crazy weather today... sunny at 46 at one point, rain, sleet, freezing rain, snow, high winds.. Been chillin' this afternoon and evening, ,after finding out tomorrow is a work holiday...didn't realize it. Had a couple Svedka vodka and pomengranate/oj martinis, a few glasses of chardonnay.. streaming music on You Tube...

No, the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Known as 'Penn'. Never been an Aztek fan, but that is maybe the slickest looking one I've seen..rather cool, IMO.

His father probably paid someone to take his tests for him. Corruption and cheating have been an integral part of his persona for decades, not that his idiotic base cares (or are capable of understanding the problem w/ having a corrupt, vile President).

I find CNN pretty balanced and mainstream..MSNBC definitely leans left, while Faux News is fiction for the right wing crowd. I don't really watch much TV news, though occasionally I'll watch CBS News or the BBC.

Could be...not sure, does Chevy still have the Sonic sedan?
