I like seeing the underside of vehicles in his videos...something I never really see in the real world. I like the roads too, remind of ones around here...beat up Midwestern roads w/ some curves and undulating sections..

Maybe they are planning a full size Bronco on the F150 platform..that would be cool...have 3 sizes of Bronco. Or this is a special edition of the F150 they are developing....Raptor Xtreme Megazord or something... Raptors are all extended and crew cabs, a regular cab Raptor w/ a 4 ft bed would be cool.
-
They already have a Ranger Raptor outside the US, so it would seem a Bronco Raptor would be a natural since the Bronco uses the Ranger underpinnings.

Gas pumps and tanks are messy and have a lot of environmental hazards and regulations involved. Plus you have the problem of getting the gas delivered. Though farmers probably have solutions for that issue. Have to ask my farmer buddy how he does that.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Robert Hall replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
China is a communist country. Not a market economy., I'd assume the government can set prices to whatever they want... -
The Savage Geese guy basically said the same thing...Ford loyalists will find it an improvement over the previous model and not cross shop... Yes, but not in use as daily transport on streets and roads (excluding the Amish).
-
One of the YouTube review guys I like (Savage Geese) said it looks like Ford intentionally built it to be a rental/fleet model. <random content> Still February, but it was 50, sunny and breezy at the lake on Sunday..enjoyed a stroll at one of my favorite parks...had to remind myself that it is still a month until Spring. Been rainy today, snow on the way... </random content>

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM

I assume they will set the prices of EVs to be comparable to ICE vehicles then phase out ICE vehicles. Thus EV sales.. -

That Chevy Menlo looks sharp, better than the dumpy Bolt. Alas, if they sold it here it would be $50k. -
I think it's that way here also, local dealers bringing in inventory. Cleveland Auto Show is dealer sponsored. Held in a 2,200,000-square-foot exhibition center...

I sat in a 2020 Explorer at the auto show last weekend. I like the dark brown paint. It's a good looking midsize SUV, but the interior looked and felt cheap... Should have taken pics..the plastic trim on the side of the seat was loose, some of the dash trim was loose. Knobs on dash felt cheap and like they would break off easily. As can be seen in the photo in the Motor Trend article linked above, the trim on the driver's door around the door handle was loose with a huge gap. Nothing about it felt more appealing to me than my 6 yr old Grand Cherokee.

IIRC FWD made a motor home in the 70s. Always wondered it if was pronounced as three letters or like ‘fwid’.
-
Trax was previously available in orange, seen many in orange. Weird bit of randomness..though I always rail against FWD/transverse 4cyl 'generics', I have to say I do enjoy driving my sister's Trax...for what it is, it does a good job. Comfortable, enough power to get out of it's own way, quiet at idle, pretty smooth at highway speeds...easy to park.

Cadillac News: The Unclear Future of the Blackwing V8
Robert Hall replied to William Maley's topic in Cadillac
It sounds like 8L45 replaced the 8L90, same transmission but the 45 was modified to be lighter. Sounds like some models such as the CT6 used both. -

Sounds like Ford was the lead developer on the 10 speed...it's in wide use across Ford and GM, everything from pony cars to full size trucks and SUVs. So competitors like the Mustang and Camaro, Navigator and Escalade are using variations of the same transmission. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford-GM_10-speed_automatic_transmission -

Different transmissions. There were two 8-speeds, one of which is involved in a class action lawsuit. The 10 speed is a new transmission jointly developed w/ Ford. Per the Wikipedia: The 8L90 is the subject of a class-action lawsuit filed in December 2018 that alleges the transmission suffers from persistent "shudder" issues and that GM has known about the problems since its introduction and has failed to provide a solution, instead choosing to wait until the unit is out of warranty.[2] -

Odd, just saw an ad on here for the 2020 MG HS Auto SUV. Pretty sure MG isn’t selling vehicles in the US.

I should have taken a pic..there were two; a bronze one w/ white roof one and all black one. They look good, a bit larger than the Trax. Didn't notice the pricing. But did notice the pricing on the top models of the Trax, Equinox and Blazer--$30k, $41k and $51k respectively for the Premier trims.

I don't recall ever seeing one of these in person.. should have read the sign board with it. Was getting tired at that point.

so many CUVs of all shapes and sizes... so many shades of gray interiors.

At the Cleveland auto show. Been here an hour. Leaving soon. Crowds seem thinner than the last two years. Could be the nice weather. Nice Camaro ZL1 in the parking lot The Corvette looks great in person...looks so huge...so wide.. So massive...the top of the bed on the Silverado HD High Country comes to the top of my shoulder. New Yukon Denali looks good. Challenger R/T Scat Pack wide body. Charger R/T Daytona Grand Cherokee Limited. Not much changed from my '14. Mustang Mach E. Very Tesla-esque.
