  1. WOW...never knew GMC had cars other than the Sprint/Caballero utes. I wonder what it was...a Chevy with a different grille?
  2. Graham is about the only 30s brand with a G name I can think of, but it is pretty obscure.
  3. Does he still have the car? Sharp Chevelle.
  4. What I took from the article is the Mach E body appears to a normally manufactured car body like any other from Ford, unlike Tesla which is a bunch of aluminum sloppily glued together. The Millenial twit that wrote the article seems to be a Tesla fanboi and biased against real automakers.
  5. Probably expecting the 'rents to buy one for them.
  6. I don't get much in the way of allergies, Spring here is usually rainy...gets nice by late May and early June usually. No heat to speak of until late June when it might get in the 70s.
  7. Spring is coming... and DST is coming. 50, blue skies and sunny this afternoon...I'm optimistic about spring...already thinking about my yard and plantings. May have new neighbors soon (the houses on both sides of me are for sale).
  8. Maybe the Camaro will be reborn as a performance EV coupe and convertible...and Cadillac will get a plaid-mode EV-series performance sedan to take on the Model S. I know GM is fixated on CUVs, SUVs and trucks, but with this shift to EVs they need variety...
  9. I don't do buses, but I do like trains and light rail...but none of the rail around here is in my suburb or convenient enough to use...so to go places around the metro area I drive myself in my SUV or I Uber it.. Now when I lived in Denver back in the oughts, I used the light rail all the time because I lived in walking distance of a train station out in the burbs.
  10. I'll still hit a Dennys once in a while if I'm out after a concert or something around 11pm/midnight and craving breakfast... a few months ago I lucked out after a Bob Dylan concert and caught a Cracker Barrell 30 min before closing..mmm biscuits and country ham are great at night. Had a Sambos in Wintersville, Ohio in the 70s...remember eating there as a little kid...
  11. Lyriq, Celestiq....hmmmm. How about Majiq, Majestiq, Mystiq,Chroniq, Iconiq, Ironiq, Taconiq, Moroniq...
  12. Sounds like there were many different Big Boy franchisees across the US. Elby's is what I remember here in Ohio from the '70s-80s. I have a Big Boys a few miles from me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Boy_Restaurants When I was in college and grad school my go-to w/ my friends was Dennys, esp. late at night after hitting the bars in downtown Kent, Ohio and Ann Arbor, Mi...
  13. As far as Bentley goes, I like the styling of the current Continental GT coupe... and it is a hardtop. In convertible form, every time I see a pic of it I think of the Karmann-Ghia...that rear quarter character line...
  14. Alas, I'm pessimistic about the long term future of this country. My optimistic side would like a Star Trek high tech space exploration future, but my pessimistic realist side thinks as the US goes down the downward spiral it is going to be pretty ugly. "It’s not dark yet, but it’s getting there Well, my sense of humanity has gone down the drain"
  15. My Jeep is ready for an oil change, coming up on 50k miles...going in for service one of these Fridays.
  16. Yeah, it's a bit grim. I generally don't get into the whole post-apocalypse or zombie genres, but that one felt a bit more grounded in a semi-plausible future.
  17. The Road is another good one in the genre of light happy future fun movies...
  18. I'd like to see Cadillac have a large RWD Blackwing V8 luxury performance 2dr coupe...like a production version of the Elmiraj.... leave the mid engined sportscar niche to Corvette.
  19. I just avoid stopping for gas in shady/seedy neighborhoods.
  20. I like the Speed idea...it's like a modern MR2 or Fiero...the small, affordable mid engined sports car...different niche than the Camaro.
  21. This guy's artwork is really cool..love the subject matter.. https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2020/03/03/making-fine-art-of-old-detective-television-show-cars-with-painter-ben-addison/?refer=news&utm_source=edaily&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2020-03-03
  22. Corvette has a history of upgraded performance variations, though....Z06, Grand Sport, ZR1... Cadillac needs to focus on luxury sedans and SUVs.
  23. and headlights...those look a bit dim
