Chrysler News: Fiat Chrysler Posts Record Earning for Q3 2019

I like the styling of the Guilia quite a bit, esp. the front with the offset license plate. I like the interior styling. Sounds like the quality and reliability isn't the greatest...but from what I've read, they a seriously fun car to drive. Like a BMW 3 series before BMW lost it's focus... -
I'm just going to enjoy it as a movie and not over analyze it... I know it's not a documentary. There have been plenty of those over the years, along w/ books. Going to see it in my local theater w/ the huge reclining assigned seats, THX sound and big screen will be fun.

The problem with shopping at local retailers is I'd have to leave the house and deal with crowds, deal with parking lots, etc. Ordering from my phone or computer is so much more efficient for me. Content comes to me, rather than me going out and seeking content. And Prime is great for streaming movies and tv shows. Though I do enjoy trips to Ace Hardware and Home Depot for home stuff and don't mind my local grocery.

Infiniti News: Infiniti Releases Teaser Image of New QX55

An SRX with a roofline like the CTS coupe would have been really cool. -

Most of the development occurred in the UK, and after Shelby got involved--- two years into the program--- he was flying back and forth from LA to the UK and occasionally to Detroit...weekly..(the facility was in an airport hangar at Heathrow, I believe)... from the book, IIRC.

They have a bit more capital to work with today than in olden days.
-
One sticking point that was brought up in the book and in other sources over the years was the naming of the proposed merged company. Ford insisted it would be named Ford-Ferrari and Ferrari wanted it to be Ferrari-Ford and neither would budge. Apocryphal? Perhaps.
-
Looking forward to the movie..the book was great.

Since I don't have Apple Car Play, I just start playing a playlist or album on the app on my phone and stream it to the Jeep head unit over bluetooth or USB..works fine that way. That's got to be unusual being in the Seattle area but not an Amazon customer. I've been using Amazon for 22+ years, Prime for at least 15 years. Get deliveries from them several times a week.

Alfa Romeo Investment Being Scaled Back :Comments
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Alfa Romeo
I'd consider a lease on a Stelvio or Guilia...I think one would be fun for a short term fling, not any sort of long term commitment. About the only current Nissans I'd probably enjoy would be the 370Z or GT-R. Maybe a Maxima. I've driven the old 350Z and a 370Z as rentals, they were a lot of fun, if you look past the cheap interior materials. The Infiniti coupe and small sedan seem pretty nice also. -
I use a USB drive loaded w/ music sometimes, but accessing it through the UConnect touch screen is so slow that's it is impractical to use. Streaming from Amazon Music on my phone over bluetooth is much faster. Same content for the most part (since I've bought most of my CDs from Amazon for over 20 years and Amazon makes purchases available to stream, and the USB content is my iTunes library which was ripped from those CDs). Plus I can discover content I don't have through Amazon Music playlists, found some interesting stuff. I didn't have Sirius XM before this Jeep, but really like it, to the point of never using AM or FM anymore..I don't like the advertising and limited content on AM or FM. I also like to stream podcasts from Overcast on my iPhone as well. Having a lot of choices for content consumption and finding what works for you is great.

That was something I liked about living in Arizona. No time change.
-
Yep...and the same with their mealtime...let me know an hour earlier...
-
I don't like the time change..gets dark too early. I'm always a little off for a week or so after the time change. And the dogs now wake me at 6 instead of 7am. Oh well....
-
Saw a really clean black '97-03 Grand Prix 2dr pulling out of a parking lot this afternoon...looked rust free..always liked the roofline on that era.
-
Waze + Amazon Music / Sirius XM for me. And not having to drive at all is the best commute.

I do like inline 6s. Had really good experiences with 3 of them—Jeep 4.0, BMW 3.2 and Mercedes 3.0. It’s nice to see them having a mini revival with Mercedes and others. I’d love to see a new inline 6 from FCA for future Jeeps. I think my folks had at least one car with an inline 6 before I was born...an early 60s Ford Fairlane wagon when my older siblings were kids.

And they sell a lot in S. America also. Remember, the US market is very different from the rest of the world. -

Blah....a Charger on FWD/transverse platform would make no sense. The 208 is just a FWD/transverse engine generic. At least the Guilia platform is a proper RWD platform. The 208 is a good Golf competitor, but would it sell here? In this CUV/SUV/truck dominated market? -

That's in Europe. I can't imagine they could sell much in the US.
