Chrysler News: FCA and PSA are in Merger Talks
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chrysler
The 300 is a full size. The wheelbase is only a couple inches shorter than the CT6. It just has shorter overhangs. In fact, the wheelbase is about 9 inches longer than the full size Impala. The weight is fine. -
Hyundai News:Hyundai Debuts HDC-6 Neptune Truck Concept
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Hyundai
Way cool...retro futuristic design...got me thinking it's time for GM to build a new Futureliner concept. -
Enjoying the fall weather...cool at night, 50s-60s during the day..trees in color and leaves falling.... first pic from my backyard yesterday, other pics from a local beach I visited yesterday after work.

Nissan News: Nissan Leaf Prototype Has AWD and 501 lb.-ft of Torque
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Nissan
Maybe a GT-R EV is in the future.. -
Buick News: Chinese Buick Enclave Previews U.S. Version
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Buick
A smaller Enclave would fill the niche between the Envision and the NA Enclave. -
Controversial! Manual Transmissions are Over-Rated
Robert Hall replied to Anthony Fongaro's topic in Opinion
Depends on the car...I like manuals in sporty cars, and like modern automatics in daily drivers. -
Industry News: Sinkhole Swallows Bus in Downtown Pittsburgh
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Industry News
Interesting how the sinkhole looks perfectly square, like a trapdoor in the roadway opened up... -
Nissan News: Nissan Leaf Prototype Has AWD and 501 lb.-ft of Torque
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Nissan
The current Leaf is a big improvement over the first generation..kind of looks like a sleeker Bolt in profile. -
It's not a truck, so you would have no practical or business use for it. Couldn't rationally justify the cost. And it's not 50-60 years old--too new and modern for you.

Sitting in a parking lot, I noticed a small black CUV one spot over from me that I didn’t recognize. Wasn’t until I backed out and saw the tailgate badging that I realized it was the new Escape. Didn’t realize they were out already.

Tesla Model 3 11th Best Selling Vehicle In Europe
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Tesla
The A-class in Europe is mostly just hatchbacks...competitor for the BMW 1-series and A3...premium brand, not sure how premium the product is.. -
Or flattop... the flattop would have made in interesting alternate 2dr ht roofline. It's similar to the '59-60 4dr ht roof. 'batwing' I've heard used to refer to the finned '59 and '60 Chevy rear ends...

Chevy and Cadillac don't put their names on their cars either, just the badge.
-
I like them..something different visually amidst a sea of similarly shaped CUVs and SUVs. And the cargo capacity isn't an issue to me, only been a few times that I have used the vertical space behind the back seat of my Jeep....most of the time, it's empty space, same with the back seat.
-
It's too bad Cadillac painted them self into a corner w/ their naming..they could have used XT-odd number for regular CUVs, and XT-even number for coupe CUVs. An XT5 based CCUV w/ a sleek fastback roofline like the CTS coupe would be cool..

Going out for taco Tuesday dinner earlier, saw out of the corner of my eye a black w/ white top '56 Thunderbird down the next street over as I drove past...alas, it was gone when I came home later. I did stop and photograph this shoebox Ford 2 streets over....same house where I photographed a rusty one a few months ago...wonder if that chassis and debris are what's left of the rusty one.

I've tried it, but I usually always use 'Unread Content'. Old habits are hard to change.

Sales growth is about percentage increases, not numbers. I don't know if they are the fastest growing or not without looking att the year over year numbers...

The Atlass Cross Sport is sharp...gets rid of the 3rd row also. I prefer 2 row SUVs, and a sleek 2 row is a neat variation.
-
I kind of like them...they are distinctive, and they are usually 2 row (I don't need a 3rd row). I like fastback hatchback rooflines..

That engine is long gone....

Going through Dunkin Donuts this morning I had a yellow Challenger Hellcat Redeye behind me..nice rumble. Guy w/ white hair and beard, was blasting ZZTop..

I rarely ever go in the store when I get gas... pay at the pump, usually less than 5 minutes. A quick task. Recharging an EV at a charging station would be far less convenient. Now a home charger, I could see that being advantageous. And location, location, location...the nearest gas station is maybe 1/2 mile, and I probably have 1/2 dozen more within a mile or two. The nearest ChargePoint charging station (J1772) is 7 miles, the nearest CHAdeMO station is over 6 miles. The nearest Telsa Supercharger station is 10 miles. Not practical in my reality context.

Beautiful fall day here in Cleveland...saw a sharp gold '72 Cutlass convertible rolling w/ the top down. Went out this evening to see Bruce Springsteen's concert film 'Western Stars' (beautiful film, beautiful music) and parked next to a Gladiator Rubicon at the theatre...first I'd seen in the wild. There was a great Jeep Wrangler ad before the film..
