Interesting...I guess I don't pay attention to the details of the surface of the road (beyond the lane striping, etc) when I'm driving.

Does the average buyer even pay attention to their mileage after buying? Would they even notice a 3-5 mpg difference? I probably wouldn't...

Saw a very clean '90-92 Cadillac Brougham tonight, white w/ white top...was next to it at freeway entrance light, drove parallel and behind it for several miles on the freeway, watching it waft along smoothly, Cadillac style..

Remember, we no longer have French Fries, they are Freedom Fries. So that would not be a Vrench Curve but a Freedom Curve which means only american metal! That is so 10 years ago...

I was taught by my dad to always keep a spare key to your car in your wallet. he was notorious apparently, for absent-mindedly locking his keys in the car. of course there was this one time I locked my keys in the car and discovered my wallet had fallen out of my pocket... Somehow, I've managed to avoid locking the keys in a car in over 25 years except for one time...the first day I drove a car to school in high school. Locked the keys in the diesel Escort. That was back when cars didn't have remotes and you had to use to key to unlock doors (and there were two keys--one for the ignition, and one for the doors--that's how Fords used to be). If I had a car w/ keyless ignition and a hefty fob (like current Cadillacs), I could see leaving it in the car by accident.

Would be neat to have wheels for the trailer that match the style of the car..

but why do they put that stuff on Lincolns and Cadillacs but (mostly) Not Benz and BMW? Different buyers with different personal tastes of 'luxury', I would think. Some BMW and Benz buyers go for oversized blingy wheels and lo-profile tires, for example. While the older buyers of Buicks, Cadillacs and Lincolns go for the padded tops and whitewall tires..

That's pretty cool..don't think I've ever seen a Corvette w/ a trailer..though I have seen one years ago w/ a hitch...saw a C5 in Colorado w/ a hitch mounted bike rack (a lighter version of the hefty Yakima swing out bike rack I used on my Jeep).

So what did you think of the homes in Seattle? Very nice from what I've seen...I was talking w/ a buddy on Linkedin last night that lives in Redmond...sounds nice around his area.

There are so many things about old houses I dislike...tiny closets, tiny bathrooms, inadequate # of outlets and old wiring... argghh.....my 1500sq ft house in Phoenix was built in '52. The back yard and huge pool are really the best attributes. My next place (not in AZ) is definitely going to be something more modern w/ garage space.

Depends on which type of Track your going to run your XTS. Wish I'd had the time to shoot a pic..saw an XTS 'senior style' today--pearl white, cream padded top, gold trim, wide whitewall tires, chrome wheels...

Still haven't seen a Dart on the road. Saw a very clean yellow w/ white vinyl top '68-71 Lincoln Mk III last night.

Speaking of Japanese brands that are or have left the US market, I saw an Isuzu Ascender in traffic the other day...had to do a double take, hadn't seen one of those in years...

I bet Mitsubishi will be next to leave. I hope Mazda can hang on, though..they seem to actually have cars that are fun to drive...

So the hinge was welded to the body, not bolted? Strange..

Remember GM's 'skateboard' fuel cell architecture from a few years ago? Wonder if development on that has continued in some form...

Saw an orange Porsche 914 that had rear ended a Camry at an intersection.... poor thing, looked like it had been in really clean shape...front hood was bent up, front bumper and fenders mangled..

Saw a BD Tahoe in a parking lot tonight...I had forgotten, those had exposed hinges. Glad they went to hatches w/ the later models, I'd rather have a hatch on a SUV and leave tailgates to trucks.

I didn't realize the non-barn door Tahoes (and Suburbans?) of that era had a tailgate..some reason I thought they had a hatch...was that the next generation?

But in color...I wouldn't want to live in a world of grainy B&W

Such is life w/ old cars...always something to fail. My Jeep's driver's door power door lock switch quit working the other day, and the A/C and headlight controls in my sister's DTS are behaving very strangely lately...

Saw a clean silver green '69 Impala convertible this afternoon, top down (finally convertible weather is here).
