  1. His Camaro drag cars in the late '60s-early '70s looked so cool.... I love the look of Pro Stock cars of that era, when the bodies still looked stock...
  2. Meh..nothing special. Very derivative shape, looks like a Lexus in profile..
  3. The taillights remind me of the last generation Sonata. The upper grille is vaguely Honda-ish. The 6-window fastback sedan profile seems to be the trend these days...so many similar rooflines.
  4. I'm surprised it's not a hybrid. I'm surprised Toyota hasn't developed a taxi-oriented minivan based off the Prius...regular Priuses are pretty widely used here as a taxis.
  5. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person..I like some aspects of the Taurus, but this looks better overall at least in the pics.. The way Impala is spelled out on the doors reminds me of the trucks and SUVs.
  6. The gallery seems to work fine for me...very easy...select an album from the thumbnail views, click on 'Prev' or 'Next' to go forward or backward through the album.....
  7. Both twin turbos..maybe the more powerful version has bigger turbos or something
  8. Wouldn't make sense to have FWD ones on the lot in the NW...AWD makes more sense there...FWD is appropriate for the sunbelt states..
  9. Weird..both versions of the 4.7 have plenty of hp and torque, so the displacement really doesn't matter. They went from a 4.7 and 5.5 to two variations of a 4.7. I guess the kept the designation 550 instead of making it 470, which would confuse consumers..
  10. 4.6 V8, the 550 has a 5.5 according to Wikipedia..(edit: that was for the '12 ML...not sure if the '13 GL will be the same)
  11. Same wheelbase, but w/ about 4.x inches more overhang. Same width.. 2012 LaX Curb Weight (FWD) 3835 lbs 3835 lbs Curb Weight (AWD) N/A N/A Front Track Width 61.7 in 61.7 in Overall Height 59.2 in 59.2 in Overall Length 196.9 in 196.9 in Overall Width 73.1 in 73.1 in Rear Track Width 62.0 in 62.0 in Wheelbase 111.7 in 111.7 in 2014 Impala According to GM: Wheelbase (in / mm): 111.7 / 2837 Overall length (in / mm): 201.3 / 5113 Overall width (in / mm): 73 / 1854 Overall height (in / mm): 58.9 / 1496 Track (in / mm): front: 62.2 / 1580 ; rear: 62 / 1576 Curb weight (lb / kg): 3800 / 1723 (est. – LT model w/ V-6)
  12. the long-rumored LaCrosse GS? I'm hoping for the mythical Holden Commodore-based Chevy SS in regular SS (Camaro SS engine spec) and ZL1 versions (Camaro ZL1 engine spec). ..
  13. I hope someone captured it on video and puts it on the You Tube...
  14. Well, each fills a specific segment--subcompact, compact, midsize, fullsize, speciality. The first 4 segments (as FWD models) is the standard approach taken by most full-line mainstream automakers...Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, and Nissan do it (and VW outside NA).
  15. After 12 winters in Colorado, 3 in Michigan, and 6 in Ohio, I prefer a 4WD SUV for winter use, w/ proper mud & snow tires, not weak all season tires. In Phoenix, though, I can get away w/ RWD for winter..
  16. Artificial two door wagons usually always look bad...this is no exception...
  17. Those wacky Germans...who says they don't do comedy..
  18. There is something else coming that will compete with the SHO.... and by compete, I mean blow it out of the water. The long rumored RWD Holden Commodore-based Chevy 'SS' I presume...or a performance version of the Impala?
  19. I wonder if we will see an Impala SS version eventually to compete w/ the Taurus SHO.
  20. I realized the greenhouse and that funky quarter window scoop is a kind of an homage to the Cobra Daytona coupe....looking forward to seeing it in person.
  21. Cute.. I'm thinking of eventually getting a Yorkie male puppy as a companion for my Yorkie girl. Or another Westie or Cairn.
  22. I figured that...I just have an aversion to the appearance of CF..seeing it up close in person gives me the dry heaves...
  23. Yes..based on the Fusion. Not sure how the dimensions differ, though.
