  1. Looking forward to the eventual thrilling magazine comparison tests w/ the Focus Electric, i, and Leaf...
  2. The new dash seems to be an improvement over the current one with it's odd circular top to the center stack...
  3. acreage
  4. Yeah...I've heard that also..esp. with the younger crowd that don't know of the older cars..though the older ones have been featured in many movies over the years, so some have seen images of 'em..
  5. WoW. I've only seen one of these in person, they are pretty incredible... I'd love to see one of the '59 or '60s..
  6. Yeah, the ES has a geriatric image, but I do know two people that bought them--both were under 30...
  7. Blech...can't imagine paying 30s for a 4cyl FWD appliance..
  8. Probably will be priced closer to the Mitsubishi i than the Leaf..
  9. I've had the Drive soundtrack on constant play in the car this week....love the retro '80s synth pop sound of it...here's the first 3 tracks.. 'Nightcall' by Kavinsky 'Under Your Spell' by Desire http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTbs2TI-HaM 'A Real Hero' College feat Electric Youth
  10. I was thinking about that..the Portifino concept from the '80s...was pretty cool.
  11. Speaking of unusual doors, maybe if Lamborghini ever builds the Esotique or other 4dr model, maybe they will do 4 scissor doors, w/ the rear ones opening backward...
  12. Maybe something was lost in translation from kg to lbs.
  13. Maybe I'll get invited to a drive event for the ATS....I went to one in '07 for the '08 CTS and one for the Merc C-class...
  14. Niches within niches....what next, an SLX ultra performance crossover?
  15. Add'l cars: Frank Bullitt's '68 Mustang. Driver's '73 Chevelle (from Drive) Roads: The Million Dollar Highway stretch of US 550 in Colorado US 24 between Leadville and Minturn, Colorado US 40 between I-70 and Winter Park, Colorado lots of E. Ohio roads--US22, 416, 800, 39, 799, 513.. Highway 1 from San Francisco to San Luis Obispo, Ca
  16. Saw a solid, straight '64 Olds F85 2dr sedan this afternoon...could have been the original light blue paint, w nearly 50 years of sun fade...
  17. I've seen them in a fairly affluent/trendy area mostly (Scottsdale) and in the college town I work in now (Tempe).
  18. I like pretty much any '60s Caddy..esp. the '67-68 and '69-70. Always thought the '67-68 Caprice roofline resembled the '67-68 CdV... looks like a solid car from the one pic.
  19. I remember that episode...couldn't recall if it was Armenia or Bulgaria that they went to...the Yugo was a substitute for a Bentley, IIRC.
  20. I think it's only been out a short time..the ones yesterday were the first I'd seen.
  21. I've probably seen a dozen or so around the Phoenix metro area..saw 2 Scion iQs yesterday, will be interesting to see how it's sales compare to the Fiat in a year...
  22. Looks clean and the price is reasonable. Beside donkers, the other thing that unfortunately happens to cars like this is that demo derby rednecks get them...
  23. Enclave is 4780-4985lbs, Escalade, 5545-5723lbs..get a lot more bloat in a similar size w/ the Escalade...
  24. Yeah, who knows how it would have turned out....that generation of Seville is a great looking car IMO, can only imagine how a coupe would have looked...with a side window treatment like the '79-85 Eldo and styling cues like the peaked fenders and narrow vertical tailights, could have been interesting...
  25. Well, if the mileage is right and it sat for decades the hoses, seals, gaskets, etc were probably all rotted so it probably needed a rebuild...
