  1. Ditto!
  2. I remember first seeing one of those around '89 down the Florida Keys...lots of Canadians in the Keys back then. Another Canadian model I recall seeing occasionally in Michigan in the '90s were Chrysler Intrepids..
  3. The Nitro front end always looked too tall and narrow to me.
  4. 20k was the norm for 1st gen GCs, I've read. Not a big deal, just routine maintenance.
  5. What kind of car? I've typically gotten 80K-100K plus a recut and 80K more... however, in the last decade, I've stopped getting rotors cut, as thin (yet in-spec) tend to warp more... and I REALLY hate warped rotors. '00 Grand Cherokee...I usually replace the rotors and pads (all 4 wheels) about every 40k or so..
  6. I wonder how many miles the rotors had... I've been able to get about 40k out of each set..
  7. Looked on Youtube...found lots of videos of dyno mishaps, mostly tuner Hondas puking their engines.
  8. Probably started w/ a used G8 and used Commodore Ute parts off of OZ eBay.
  9. Probably shipped it to the US as parts and assembled it here using a G8.
  10. Cool...but I think the new Veyron Jr is going to be based on the Up!
  11. Hmmm...something looks really wrong with that picture.
  12. Funny you mention the C30...for some reason, I find this little hatchback very appealing....sort of a modern AMC Gremlin style..
  13. Went to a restaurant at a resort on top of a mountain for Christmas brunch today....there was a gorgeous black and red '12 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca parked next to a black 911 Turbo in the lot...
  14. Well, you can definitely say the Juke looks like nothing else on the road...very distinctive design.
  15. Well, the Mustang and Camaro are sporty coupes..different niches...in mainstream sedans, Ford and GM are FWD only, unfortunately.
  16. The doors on the Anycar (color pic) appear to be '64-65 Falcon or Comet.
  17. I'm sure the design will be toned down in the details before production and be on the Genesis platform...nice to see Kia doing a RWD model, rather than more FWD appliances.
  18. Wierd...I wonder what the story is w/ the first one..looks like a mashup between a VW and a 4dr 57 Chrysler..and why is the name of a S. African bank on it? And the plastic hubcaps really are a great touch.. not.
  19. I do wonder how GM markets Cadillac in Europe or China..never seen ads from those markets...do they emphasize the American nature of it?
  20. IIRC from an article in CA, it was mid-year addition for the LeSabre. It was in an article about how GM bought the V6 tooling back from AMC. Also, from Wikipedia: The '76 LeSabre was the only American full-size car with a standard V6 engine, which was Buick's brand-new 3.8-litre (231 CID) V6 engine. The V6 was only offered on the base-level LeSabre and not mentioned in initial 1976 Buick literature issued in September 1975 because the V6 engine was a last-minute addition to the line. The 350-cubic-inch V8 was the base engine on the LeSabre Custom and the 455-cubic-inch V8 was optional. Both V8s were optional on the base LeSabre.
  21. I think the Benz emblem is on the black Benz sitting there in traffic beside the car w/ the mirror.
  22. The modern 'mog isn't as cool as the old ones....pretty utilitarian but likely still very capable and rugged.
  23. Cool..there used to a dealer in Colorado the sold used imported 'Mogs and Pinzgauers...
  24. I don't know what the blue thing is w/ the Ohio plate, but those look like Contour headlights. What's up w/ the giant antennas on the Aussie utes?
  25. I wonder if there is going to be a V8 GS this time...
