  1. Not to mention the Maxima, Camry, and Accord are just FWD appliances...I'd never cross shop RWD models with FWD, though I imagine the GP might..
  2. Those tractor daycabs look so narrow front-to-back...used to seeing them w/ a sleeper..interesting dash design, the passenger is separated by a partition.
  3. Ah, road rage...people that try that type of thing here often get shot....lots of armed nutters in AZ.
  4. I've always liked the hood scoops on the early Formulas..went well w/ the '70-73 grille style...
  5. The paint condition seems inconsistent w/ the rest of the car..rusty under the hood, rusty trunk, rusty floors, trashed interior...very strange...
  6. True enough..this the super cheap basic police interior...needs Commodore Statesman leather trim, etc to dress it up..
  7. So it's a combination of two tacky styles...the blower crap from the '70s-early '80s and donkage. Fail. And what's with all the junk in the interior?
  8. bomb
  9. Maybe the MCE will adopt Malibu-style taillights..
  10. And to think that 40-50 years ago, there were Buick Opels....and now there are....Buick Opels (without the badging).
  11. Similar..both have that upward sweep...
  12. Asian- and SA-market crew cab trucks usually seem to look that way.....they have a short bed to avoid having to lengthen the frame...either avoiding the cost of an extra chassis variation or for practical reasons (i.e. shorter=more manuverable in crowded cities)...some of the older models even had the rear wheelhouse right up against the back of the cab w/ no bed bodywork ahead of the wheel..
  13. Ah...so the Opel version is called Mokka..I wondered what Ocn was going on about...
  14. time
  15. The sketches are quite exaggerated compared to a production model and remind me a lot of Hyundai designs..
  16. It probably will...just as the B-seg car market has been growing in recent years, I expect the B-seg CUV/tall wagon segment to grow as well...Juke, xB, Countryman are here now...B-Max is coming, something from Fiat probably also...
  17. If they do eventually offer this in NA, I wonder if they will water down/cheapen the interior to keep the prices down...
  18. Strange...I prefer M-Bs that are over 4000lbs...a 2800lb E-class sounds very strange to me...
  19. You're getting your wish, partially. When the new CARS Land opens in Disney California Adventures park this summer, one of the rides (through Radiator Springs) uses the test track system. So while you may not get the GM feel of the "Test Track" attraction, you will get a similar ride experience. Hmm...may have to check it out...I've never been to any of the Ca Disney parks (went to Disney World in the '80s when I lived in Florida). But I do go to So Cal a few times a year, so it's doable for me..
  20. New year, new job. Have some racing-related trips planned, maybe an overseas vacation mid-summer. Want to expand my technical skills with a few new things. Planning to attend a conference in summer. Hoping no dogs pass away this year, but one is 14 (on heart medications) and one is 13... Need to visit family in Ohio. Hope to keep the Jeep running another year or two, nothing major needed right now, but the A/C needs recharged before summer. Optimistic about 2012 overall.
  21. I would expect the driving dynamics to be much better than the B-bodies, though...this is a much newer platform... and the interior is a lot nicer...the last B-bodies were awfully cheap and plasticky inside, IMO...
  22. Yes this is more like a Juke or other small cross over car/suv like vehicle. So far many people think this is larger or smaller than it really is. The Gamma cam be made a larger than the Sonic like the Granite but too many think this also Terrain size which it is not. This is a new segment many MFG are launching new product in but none have shown to be the dominate one yet. This will be the first with s sporting like model but with a very upgraded interior and the new Buick trademark quiet. I really doubt if it will be much bigger than a Sonic..it's just a tall 5dr subcompact car...some blogs have trumpeted the Opel/Vauxhall one as GM's answer to the Juke and B-Max..these spy shots of the disguised Opel version look pretty small... http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2011/02/scoop-opel-new-corsa-based-small-suv-is.html Well, the Chevy version will probably be at the $20k price point...Buick is supposed to be above Chevy...
  23. Well, this is a much smaller and very different vehicle...the Rendezvous was a largish minivan-like CUV, this is a subcompact tall hatchback...the Enclave replaced the Rendezvous, Terrazo, and Rainier more or less..this is a kind of a new segment for Buick. This is GM's answer to the Ford B-Max or Mini Countryman..sort of.
  24. That would also required a much bigger investment...this is just an Opel w/ different fascias and other small trim differences.
