  1. I tend to be middle to left on most things...socially liberal, fiscal moderate. There are just too many groups I strongly dislike for me to ever vote or identify with the Republican party..
  2. Global Motors? Nissan + Renault + Chrysler
  3. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person... I've always thought the previous Skyline GT-Rs were cool..
  4. Robert Hall replied to NOS2006's topic in The Lounge
Makes the dull tedium of corporate America more tolerable..
  5. Yeah...why couldn't it have been a train load of Grand Prixs going to Avis?
  6. I'm looking forward to seeing one..the G8 didn't make it to my local auto show last year, so I have yet to see one.
  7. Or the Nano Naan.
  8. Definitely..it is Indian, and I like spicy Indian cuisine, so why not spice up the car a bit? Let's see the Nano Vindaloo...
  9. Umm, well, I'm 37...I remember the '80s quite well, and I've read a lot of car magazines over the years (esp. Collectible Automobile which is great for historical articles). And I'm a Jeep owner and fan..
  10. It has a B-pillar and is unibody, though.
  11. I'm thinking it would be cool if Cadillac had a two-tier approach to the sports sedans, like Audi with the S and RS models...have the 'regular' V-series super sedans and then above that the VZ-series which would be the ultimate, all out psycho models..
  12. The important thing is how the weight is distributed...
  13. Heated seats are great in the winter...I'd like to have a heated steering wheel so I wouldn't have to wear gloves at startup after the car has sat out during a long cold day.. I'd like to have cooled seats and a cooled steering wheel as well.
  14. It will be interesting where the pricing ends up...from what I've read recently, the new M3 is going to be closer to $75k.
  15. The Grand Wagoneer... the Wagoneer dated to the early '60s and evolved until it's last year in '91..they still have a cult following today (lots of them being restored). GM definitely had a lead on Ford with full-size 4dr SUVs, having both the Suburban and Tahoe when Ford still had the 2dr Bronco. The 4dr compact SUV market was arguably kicked off by the XJ Cherokee in the early-mid '80s, kind of the precursor of the mid-size 4dr SUV boom that the Explorer came to dominate in the '90s.
  16. The power-to-weight ratio probably isn't bad... my diesel Escort probably weighed 2800lbs but had 52hp.
  17. Prius, definitely. I couldn't imagine the Nano getting certified for US sale (though I wouldn't be surprised if Tata doesn't have a US presence with cars within a decade..)
  18. Interesting...esp. considering Chrysler's long-standing relationship with Mitsubishi..
  19. So I've heard...Indian friends of mine have told me stories of horrific traffic conditions, riding around on scooters...they say having a driver is the best way to get around in some cities.
  20. Nahh, just paranoid..I don't trust the Government or Republicans.
  21. I wonder if they will have a luxury version badged as a Jaguar..
  22. Nice...by the way, what did you replace the diesel Merc with?
  23. To chip all resources..to keep tabs on the loyal taxpayers..
  24. I'm sure the Dept of Homeland Security is working on a plan to do it..
