  1. I'd take the Mocha bronze w/ the brown leather like the Enclave..
  2. Looking at the pic of the black Commodore I realized that if it had chrome window trim, it would look a lot like an '08 Accord..
  3. Autoweek has an article on this... Autoweek Article about NG NS V8 cancellation Seems like a mistake for Cadillac, since the other premium brands (BMW, M-B, Audi, Lexus, etc) will still be offering DOHC V8s for the forseeable future..
  4. The Impala will take the GPs place in fleets..the GP was 77% fleet in '06, I think..
  5. Yes, Honda is quite diverse... generators, lawn mowers, ATVs, boat engines, hybrids, fuel cell vehicles, family sedans, compact cars, subcompact cars, near-lux sedans, minivans, crossovers, pickups, etc...a little bit of everything.
  6. How about a Chia edition Kia? Water it and grow grass-like turf on the hood, roof, decklid..
  7. I'm sure if PCS gets his way, 'what's next' is that Chevy NA will be much the same as Chevy Europe--generic Korean FWD models.
  8. Ok...so those 3 are going to stay FWD Avis models? Boooring.
  9. Here's a bunch of Inspire pics...looks much the same as the US Accord, with some taillight differences, front fascia differences, more wood/plood inside.. 2008 Honda Inspire
  10. Hmmm..you in Asia?
  11. This morning I saw a beige '74 or '75 Catalina 4dr w/ dog dish hubcaps..odd sight to see in the commute. Saw a sharp brown Enclave in the parking lot at work w/ a temp tag, someone had a Merry Xmas.
  12. BRIC economies are on the rise.
  13. The shape of that era of Corolla kind of reminds me of the '70s Datsun 510..
  14. Heh-heh... I can't recall when Toyota had a decent overall design theme, other than dull. Though I do like the current Lexus design themes..
  15. Thank goodness for TiVo...I've never seen this ad..but may have to look for it on YouTube.
  16. Right...I'm sure Avis had plenty enough '07s to keep them going through this year.
  17. I wonder if the last one went to or will go to Avis?
  18. True enough..I remember driving in the late '80s in my '84 Escort diesel..52 hp, 0-60 in about 18 seconds. And 55mpg at 55 mph, around 45mpg around town. What's amazing is there is nothing in the US today that gets mileage anywhere close to that, and it was a solid little car, not a sh*tbox like the Geo Metros..
  19. Nahh, I'm just a bit of an elitist..
  20. They world is overpopulated the way it is now...the masses shouldn't be allowed to breed indiscriminately, IMHO.
  21. People with families that large need to learn about birth control....
  22. You are a brave man...I couldn't imagine have a daily driver older than 10-15 yrs old (my Jeep is 7 now)..I just don't want to deal with the headaches (and lack of features) of old cars. My sister has gone the 'all old' route, she sold her '04 Liberty yesterday, keeping the '84 500SEL (175k miles) and '92 300CE (120k miles), but since she's a traveling consultant, she's only home 3 days a week at most, so no daily commute. Those cars have been money pits, though, IMHO.
  23. True...but the Acadia and Enclave are significantly differentiated, at least in interior and exterior design.....but if the Acadia and Outlook were at the same dealer..
  24. Good sentiment and all, but probably 80% or more Impala buyers today don't know or couldn't care less about the name history...it wouldn't matter if it was named 'Lumina' or 'Generica' (which would have been a great name for it) to Avis and most of buyers of the current W-body model.
  25. True, but those are sports cars. With an SUV, a 4dr just makes more sense (more 'U').
