Who Wants To Help Me
I tend to be middle to left on most things...socially liberal, fiscal moderate. There are just too many groups I strongly dislike for me to ever vote or identify with the Republican party..

Fortune Magazine article on GM
Umm, well, I'm 37...I remember the '80s quite well, and I've read a lot of car magazines over the years (esp. Collectible Automobile which is great for historical articles). And I'm a Jeep owner and fan..

GM @ NAIAS '08: Cadillac CTSv - PHOTOS
Robert Hall replied to Chris_Doane's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I'm thinking it would be cool if Cadillac had a two-tier approach to the sports sedans, like Audi with the S and RS models...have the 'regular' V-series super sedans and then above that the VZ-series which would be the ultimate, all out psycho models..

GM @ NAIAS '08: Cadillac CTSv - Overview
Robert Hall replied to Chris_Doane's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Heated seats are great in the winter...I'd like to have a heated steering wheel so I wouldn't have to wear gloves at startup after the car has sat out during a long cold day.. I'd like to have cooled seats and a cooled steering wheel as well.

Fortune Magazine article on GM
The Grand Wagoneer... the Wagoneer dated to the early '60s and evolved until it's last year in '91..they still have a cult following today (lots of them being restored). GM definitely had a lead on Ford with full-size 4dr SUVs, having both the Suburban and Tahoe when Ford still had the 2dr Bronco. The 4dr compact SUV market was arguably kicked off by the XJ Cherokee in the early-mid '80s, kind of the precursor of the mid-size 4dr SUV boom that the Explorer came to dominate in the '90s.

Here's a Good Question
The power-to-weight ratio probably isn't bad... my diesel Escort probably weighed 2800lbs but had 52hp.

Here's a Good Question
Prius, definitely. I couldn't imagine the Nano getting certified for US sale (though I wouldn't be surprised if Tata doesn't have a US presence with cars within a decade..)

Nissan and Chrysler in Small Car/Big Truck Alliance

The World's Cheapest Car
So I've heard...Indian friends of mine have told me stories of horrific traffic conditions, riding around on scooters...they say having a driver is the best way to get around in some cities.
